I use christian blasphemies in cursing simply because it is a habit, and because they are a part of my local culture. There is a fun passage in one of the Diskworld books abut dwarf gods, which goes along the lines of "Dwarves are not naturally religious, but it takes a certain kind of heard-headed atheist to say 'Oh, random fluctuations in space-time!' when you drop a hammer on your foot." Unfortunately I can't remember which book that is in.

The attitude towards swearing is way more lax where I live, so words like "Jesus", "Damn", "Christ", etc. aren't really seen as swears. As such, EVERYONE uses them. Saying "Oh my god!" and "Jesus Christ!" won't usually get kids in trouble at school.
I say "Jesus Fuck!" when something surprises or shocks me, "Jesus fucking christ" when something is so ridiculously stupid or assholeish that I'm ten seconds away from a headdesk, and "god damnmit" when things don't go my way or for things that aren't quite so headdesk worthy as to merit a "Jesus fucking christ". There's nothing religious about it, I just use them out of habit.
What's funny is that my mom refuses the say "Jesus christ!" and "god damnmit" because of her upbringing, but she's fine with saying "Fuck" and "shit". As such, she produces interesting phrases like "Ah, shit, gall damn it!" and "Jeepers! Fuck!"

I don't use them but when other people do I respond. When people say Jesus Christ, oh god, etc, I reply yes Goddammit ,no I'm not a beaver And other equally crappy but self entertainin' things. Most people take it as a joke, some stop usin' them around me 'cause they find it annoying when I do it and some get offended and say I'm not god, to which I just respond they can't prove that.

Because the usage of the words as such pervades the culture and vocabulary of the nation in which I live. I'm a fan of the notion that the meaning of a word is defined largely by it's use in the wild, so to speak. Whilst to the religious, these may be the names of Gods and suchlike, to heathens like myself, it's just another way to quickly observe that I seem to have once more struck my thumb with the hammer, or that particular elements of this particular sentence require emphasis. I don't know if one could reasonably even count this as blasphemy, or even taking the Lord's name in vain. Even if one strictly believed in God, I figure that as per what that Jesus fella said in regard of ritual washing and suchlike, that God was more about the Spirit than the Letter. If what's being done isn't a deliberate act of profaning the name so much as a near-on verbal tic or simple osmosis of vocabulary, sure how could a just being hold it against you.
Additionally, within a great deal of European languages, notions and namings of God or Gods are inherent in idioms that have been about since, well, since God was a lad. There's great swathes of social history and ethnic identity in them thar Blasphemies!

Oh, additional: Continuing my Spirit vs. Letter thing, surely this means minced oaths mean one is really gosh darned to heck just as surely as if one says the "real" words, all other things, like intent, being equal?
It's a minefield, the ould salty language. I do note Americans are fierce sensitive about the venerbale C-word, too. What's the craic there, anyway?
