My friend was joining a forum I go to and, being notoriously bad at choosing a username, asked me to pick one for him. I don't know how, but malendras just came off the top of my head. He used the account once and abandoned it and the screenname. Months later, I'm looking for a replacement to my 5+ year old SN and remembered this. Started using it as my default SN and it stuck.

Years ago a co-worker was talking with another employee about me and said something to the effect of "what's his name? you know, the Mojo guy" The name ended up sticking.

My username is a nickname I got a few years back, working at a restaurant because I used to sing "Dr. Funkenstein" by Parliament.

Ha, that's so awesome! I had a Lilo avatar based on that scene. Need to find it again for this summer, after the Pens' season is over. I totally love that bit.

Mine is fairly cut-and-dried. My initials are JW. Simple

Gorilla, the mascot of the University where I got my first degree, whose t-shirt I'm wearing now (normal attire).
Old, due to my age.
This post additional serves to introduce me and to solve my zero post status.

Mine is basically just my initials. Your name sounds like a cleaning product! Oh, and mine is from my commie-hunting days during the Cold War.

Heh.
I used to be Morninglight, and I still use it a bit, but I'm slowly switching over to RenaissanceBlonde. I love the sound of it, especially since I went into postgrad study this year, returned to some of my roots, and I am blonde (though slowly becoming brunette because of bleaching my hair lighter).

Mine comes from my middle name, or what will be once I get past the legal hurdles. A great great aunt had it, it was in the decisions for what to name my younger brother should he have been born a girl, and I find it pretty and fairly unique so I nabbed it.

Mine's pretty simple. I'm a woman who likes cats, hence "Lady Feline" ;D (It's also a pretty generic name, which was also appealing Easy to get lost in the crowd that way.)

Wompatti is pretty much 'wombat' in Finnish and it's the result of an incredibly stupid joke. That's all you need to know.

Post by Bojangles on Apr 13, 2009 7:16:57 GMT -5
A couple of years ago we got a kitten that my brother insisted on calling Espresso. He was such a lovely little guy and a complete clown so I used to call him Bojangles (I have a habit of changing pets names if I feel that aren't quite right - my cat Bella used to be called LookSee by her previous abusive owners and I just thought a new start and a new name was in order). Anyway Bojangles was the coolest cleverest cat ever but some dumb fuck knocked him over because he was speeding at the back of our complex in the driveway (where the speed limit is 15km/h there). It broke my heart. Anyway so that is why I decided on the name.

Increasingly, I don't know.
Increasingly, I also don't know what happened to Chelsea TRAKtors either; seems that sometime around 2006 they just suddenly became less of a big deal.

My name (or what will be my name, once I get around to changing it) is Erik. My forum name is a play on the Viking - Eric the Red. But since Red = Republican in the US, I decided to make a joke out of it and say I'm a "Blue" (Democrat).
