Go to Russia and Qatar respectively. The 2018 WC pick doesn't mean much to me, but a country that has never qualified for the WC and doesn't have enough stadiums at the moment to host it is not a good choice for me.

hmm, smell the brown envelopes changing hands there. Another triumph for FIFA as 2 nations with petrodollars and without free press get hold of the world cup as they go into hissy fits about their corruption getting rumbled, so the English bid gets dumped on - luckily because I'm not wild about our money laundering legislation and others being fiddled specially for them.
Regarding 2022, Qatar has even said that after the WC takes place their stadia will be taken down and shipped elsewhere - way to go on the legacy there guys, and soccer in the middle east desert during July, another wonder strike from Sep and the boys.
