Didn't the bible also say to care for the poor and pay your taxes.

Because the rich never covets anything ever. Is there a Jesus facepalm image I can attach to this? Y'know what kind of system would result, if everyone took the no-coveting rule to heart? Communism, that's what kind! ;D (...is what I'd say to those who paid for that billboard, if I could.) Jesus believed that True Christians (TM) should sell all their possessions and live simply on the street, like the Cynics of ancient Greece. Also, according to the Bible, he condemned the rich, equally distributed food, and gave free healthcare. But you still have to worship him or else you're going to Hell. Also, he destroyed fruit trees and approves of his Dad killing billions of people. Jesus is not a Republican. He's a Communist.

This the same God whose Son said to give all one’s money to the poor?

Didn't the bible also say to care for the poor and pay your taxes. Yeah, but that's inconvenient, so we ignore that part.

I want to put up a billboard just after that that's exactly the same, except...
the planet is saying things like "I should have the right to donate to who I want to!" and "No health care for the poor!" and "Why should I have to pay for someone else's health?" and other such things and have it say "Give to those who have none. - God"

Would “Matthew 25:31-46, bitches!” be an appropriate response?

Except they are all thoroughly convinced they are the sheep and everyone else is the goats.

Cool. Just wasn’t sure if the gratuitous “bitches” would have put it over the top. Except they are all thoroughly convinced they are the sheep and everyone else is the goats. Which is kind of funny, because the parable is so friggin’ clear in meaning that they might as well be convinced the sky was deep burgandy in color.

And yet, they'd believe with complete sincerity it is you who has the problem. le sigh

Would “Matthew 25:31-46, bitches!” be an appropriate response? No. You would be taking it out of context. The Holy Spirit hasn't opened your eyes to know he was really talking about screwing over the poor. Duh!
