Looks like I missed the storm... Oh well. Pony downloads will always exist somewhere. I think I recall episodes being on hold until January, so the fandom shall have to ramp up its production in its stead!

Not like we won't get through it, Colo, we got through the summer drought just fine, a few weeks will be nothing.

Also, I don't think the megaupload pages themselves were ever taken down, if hunting down free stuff is worth it to you.

So who else among us reads pony fanfiction? I've read quite a few, and just caught up on "Death Note: Equestria" to help get through the pony drought. Let's just say that the pony who is Kira in this is a completely horrific fucking monster. D:

um, Lisa? All that fic that you see go up on Equestria Daily? Me and the rest of the pre-reading crew go through all that, along with all the failures. We get stuff from FIM Fiction, too.

You're a pre-reader, eh? Cool. Maybe one day I'll finally write a story for you to approve. I tried once, but I needed heavy revision, and haven't really gotten that far. As far as my link goes, I didn't think subsequent chapters of an established story had to go through pre-readers. Beyond that, I wanted to recommend a story to someone, and felt that the one I just caught back up on last night was a good idea.

I read the fanfic every so often. My favorites include Past Sins, Bubbles, My Little Star Wars. Even though with the Star Wars one, as a Star Wars geek, I have to nitpick about some of the character match ups...Big Mac as Chewbacca?? Silly, we all know that Spike is Chewbacca. Also Octavia as Tarkin?? I've woud have gone with Prince Blueblood...I can't picture Octivia as a complete monster. That being said, If Octavia is Tarkin, would that make Vinyl Scratch(aka DJ PON-3) Admiral Daala(Yes, I made a shipping joke)??

I That being said, If Octavia is Tarkin, would that make Vinyl Scratch(aka DJ PON-3) Admiral Daala(Yes, I made a shipping joke)?? I'm not well enough versed in Star Wars lore to understand most of this post, but I'm isolating this bit to point out that I had never heard of the term shipping until I became part of the pony fandom.

In Star Wars EU(Expanded Universe) Admiral Daala is a female Imperial officer that Grand Moff Tarkin not only takes as his protege, but she is also Tarkin's mistress.I made the joke because it common to see Octavia & Vinyl Scratch shipped together so often in Fan art and fan fics, so...
BTW: back on the subject of ponies...I'm a huge fan of the Lyra & Bon Bon pairing/shipping. They're a perfect match. I also love Fluttershy & Big Mac together too. The only pairing that is really getting annoying is the Trixie & Twilight, I don't know why but it gets annoying sometimes, it may be because I see it so often.

As far as my link goes, I didn't think subsequent chapters of an established story had to go through pre-readers. Beyond that, I wanted to recommend a story to someone, and felt that the one I just caught back up on last night was a good idea. We send nearly every fic to Mars for fixes, at the very least, if not the moon because something about it just doesn't work (I swear, if we get one more "AJ and Big Mac REALLY love each other [yes, in that way, because lol Southern and incest]" fic)... When I started pre-reading, I had 738 e-mails in my Gmail inbox. Now? I'm up to 5317. It hasn't even been a year and a half. Kiss your free time goodbye if you become a pre-reader. Short version: Don't get discouraged if we ask you for fixes and/or a visit to Ponychan. We get some truly WONDERFUL fic, and we say "fix x, y and z and it's postable, this is AWESOME!"... and then we never see them again. As for subsequent chapters, due to authors like Kkat flaunting the rules with Fallout: Equestria (explicit sex scene in chapter 20), or the infamous Hitlerjack fic (where, yes, AJ rounds up all the unicorns in a civil war for a concentration camp at Sweet Apple Acres and implies Rarity will be raped to death), we are a bit more touchy about actually reading multi-part fics. It's why the queue is so long for pre-reading, some days. If we don't get to you in a week, poke Sethisto, he'll prod us.
