There was a question in the weird phobias thread about why there isn't a thread like this, and I thought it was a good idea. A chance to look on something positive instead of fears.
So, do you have something that you don't fear, among the things that people in general tend to be afraid of?
I love my life, but I'd say that I have pretty much no fear of death. A few times I've been close to having possibly fatal accidents, and while I can be afraid of getting hurt I never really feared dying. I know I'll die some day, and that with our unpredictable world it might happen sooner than expected, but when I think about that I don't feel any fear of it.
Maybe that's just a common symptom of the belief that when I'm dead I won't be around to care about anything anymore.
I don't fear any snakes or rodents either, even though I hate most creepy crawlies of various kinds.

I'm not afraid of rodents.
I don't like spiders, but I'm not afraid of them.
Story: My sister is really panicky and has OCD, and this one time she was getting herself all worked up over something and he best friend was trying to calm her down. The friend said, "If you keep this up you're going to end up in a mental institution afraid of milk." Now, every time my sister starts to worry about things, she says, "I am not afraid of milk."
ETA: I'm not afraid of dogs. I'm really confident around them, unless I know for a fact the dog is mean, or it's gone after me before. And even then, I'm not afraid of the dog, just extra cautious.
I'm not afraid of hieghts

Thanks zabimaru! I think I'm getting so much shorter list on this side than on the phobia-thread Death is one of them, with few limitations of course that have something to do with "way to go" And if referring to "normal people out there outside of internet" I'm not afraid of that kind of people that most are afraid of. Like "creepy looking longhaired men dressed in all black" You can't guess what relief it can be to have bunch of those to appear on sight when you're almost panicking while waiting for the train (alone, at middle of the night) and avoiding eye contact with middle aged drunk men ._. The end.

Not afraid of death, although I am afraid of certain ways of dying (20 years of getting sicker and sicker tops the list) Not afraid of dogs, any dog. I am wary of some, but usually they're pretty small. Not afraid of snakes or lizards Not afraid of rodents, in fact I'd have a pet rat if I didn't think it would die of a nervous condition in my house.

I'm going with spiders (and arthropods in general). I once had a job working for a school doing groundswork, I was cleaning inside the office for the bus garage. Some insect got in there, the secretary was freaking out. Me, being me, grabbed it in my fingers. But, before throwing it outside, I made sure to offer it to her. She wasn't pleased (just with that, otherwise she liked having me around).

While I am quite opposed to the idea of dying would very much appreciate a lifespan measuring several centuries, I am not afraid of death. Part that I see it as something too far away, part that I realise after I die I won't be there to care. It's weird. I've never been afraid of any dog I've met, and I've met some really big and dangerous ones. Mostly because the dog I've been most around is completely harmless.

Most creepy crawlies don't phase me in the slightest. If I see a large, brightly coloured spider I'll either calmly avoid it or get rid of it with the old glass and piece of paper (I guess when one lives in Australia, one gets used to these sort of things very quickly).

In my time, I have been machine gunned, sniped at, shelled, bombed, mortared and a Land Rover I was in was hit by an off route mine in Kosovo... I have survived those interesting experiences relatively unscathed - but I have a healthy fear of hot pieces of metal travelling at high velocity. However, I would go back into "harm's way" if I absolutely had to.
I don't suffer phobias concerning various insects and reptiles - after all, a lot of those can turn out to be sources of food in extremis!
Just for contrast... What gives me a case of the extreme willies is the thought of Alzheimer's.
My mother was a bright and intelligent woman who had a quick wit and a love of conversation.
She was the very last peson I would have considered to suffer from Alzheimer's - but she ended her days as a wretched reflection of her former self.
Her descent into senile dementia was steep in the extreme - from slight forgetfulness to not knowing the members of her family took just nine months. Two years later she died. The death certificate said she died of old age (she was 84) and senile dementia with contributory Alzheimer's.
I am scared witless of turning into that sort of mumbling, doubly incontinent wreck. I'd rather eat the barrel of my Mossberg.

I'm not afraid of the IRS. But they don't know my real name and address.

I am not bothered at all by shock images or video. I've watched every one I could find, most multiple times, and I made it all the way through the Encyclopedia Dramatica page for "offended." I could post reaction videos and the most you'd see is a "what the fuck" or me laughing my ass off. Even the ones that involve dead people don't faze me.

I'm not scared of massive lightning storms. Or thunder. I don't really like it when lightning strikes very close or the thunder knocks me out of bed, but for the most part I'm either fascinated or just unfazed by thunder and lightning storms.
I also like snakes. Actually LIKE them. Neighbours who garden often come over to my house and ask, "Can Caitshidhe come over and take care of a snake we found???" knowing that I'll pick it up and release it in the woods. 99.9% of the time, they're rat snakes, corn snakes, or garter snakes. Copperheads sometimes make it around here sometimes, but hardly ever--at least I know what they look like.

-Death -Insects -Flying -Thunderstorms -Gay thunderstorms Oh, I forgot about thunderstorms. I've always loved a nice, big thunderstorm. I grew up by the ocean, on the countryside, and you had unobstructed view for miles. You'd see a lot of beautiful thunderstorms during the summers. I'm really scared of those gay thunderstorms though; that ad makes them look soo scary! Those gay thunderstorms will make me lose my right to... Something... I don't really remember. But it was scary! Or maybe it was stupid... Yeah, I'm going to have to go with stupid.

I am certainly not afraid of snakes, that I do know for sure.
I am too tired tonight to think of anything else I'm not afraid of, oh... most spiders I'm not afraid of, granted they're non venomous, heh.
