Don't think of green elephants. You thought of a green elephant, didn't you? It's the same concept. They are taught that sex is an awful thing and it is everywhere, so they must always be on the lookout for "stealth sex." So of course all they think of is sex! My elephant was pink. Then I thought of a story by Hemingway.

What kind of sick fuck thinks everyone's looking at his daughter's ass? Considering some of the things we've seen posted that fundies have done, someone who's projecting. Well, salvation is most tempting to those who NEED it.

Ooookay...when I was a kid having your shirt untucked was considered "sloppy" & "impolite."

HOLY CRAP
HAD I KNOWN THIS VERSE 9 YEARS AGO, It would have saved me ALOT of detentions along with bringing me a lot of freedom.
edit: Although on second thought this only applies to women. So poo. Curse you God for gender bias!

Long story short; who gives a fuck? Sure, the ten-year-old's gonna get rights to go "Nyah-nyah, I get to wear my shirt untucked because I'm special", but past that? Call me when a school authorizes the murder of kids wearing cotton-polyester blend because of the infallibility of the OT.

A few thoughts:
1. Huh? Tucked in shirts are immodest?
2. School uniforms are revolting (though many disagree wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more).
3. The school pretty much tied its hands when it created the religious exemption. Either they just rubber stamp it, or they put themselves in the very awkward position of interpreting somebody else's religion.
4. They should just let parents opt out for any reason and leave religion out of it.

This is the most retarded, and fucked up, thing I've read about in ages - and I'm on the main page daily.

Pics, or GTFO. No *white* person would come up with craptastic "names" like "Dyker" or "Jave" -- trust me.

They do certainly seem to be a product of the "draw some random Scrabble tiles" approach to naming.

As ez-c pointed out by bolding certain parts of the story, this woman used that verse to justify her child's attire at school, but then completely ignored it when explaining why she doesn't go to church.
Wait, someone who thinks Bible verses only apply when they're convenient? Alert the press!

2. School uniforms are revolting (though many disagree wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more). Especially tentacle monsters. No, but I think dress codes in general are stupid. I mean, there are certain things I can see being exempted (Chains or spikes that can be used as a weapon, blatant offensive crap, etc.), there is little real reasoning to merit it.
