Sort of. The Palin family does use a formula to find names. It has to be two syllables and it has to be a noun. For example, Hamper would be an acceptable name, as would Woodchuck or Printer. Computer would not because it is not two syllables. Neither would Running, as it's not a noun. But Track, Trig and Tripp only have one syllable each. Oh, how I love it when my posts are ignored. Really, it just makes my day. I know I got a kick out of it when it happened to me.

But Track, Trig and Tripp only have one syllable each. further testament to the Palin's illiteracy. When they were sounding them out, they all had two.

Vene already covered the genetic argument, so I'll just say that you can maintain that it's true, or you can treat a transsexual as their "preferred" gender. At the point you're maintining that a MTF transsexual is still technically a boy, you're no longer doing so. The point is still the same. A MTF transsexual is still *genetically* male, with the XY chromosome set. I'm not saying that they *shouldn't* be considered female, though -- if you *feel* female, if you *identify* as female, *despite* having those chromosomes, I see no reason not to call you female.I was just saying that *genetically* you can't change that -- someday, they might find a way to tinker with your chromosomes, and make you *genetically* female, too. And that would be fucking awesome.

Why do the genes matter? And I say this as a student of genetics.
And there's no real point in removing the Y chromosome for MtF transsexuals, a more realistic (but still difficult) option would be to completely turn off its expression.

Wait....So this nutcase woman bullied the school board and told them they were all going to burn in hell or words to that effect if they voted against her ? How can you argue with that kind of logic?

I have to add that when I was a kid in private school, they made us tuck our tee-shirts into our shorts FOR GYM. Yeah, I went to private Christian schools too and if we didn't have our shirts tucked in we were given detention. So if her kid attended a Christian school instead of a public school do you think she'd still try this argument? Probably what happened here is that the kid is a little embarrassed by her tummy and wanted to keep her shirt untucked to cover it. When the school told her to tuck it in she complained to her mom, and then mom made up a bulls*** reason why the kid could do what she wanted.

That's the problem. You can't. Sure you can. You ignore the argument because it's not an argument at all. Ironbite-you shoud know how to ignore a not-argument by now. Oh and James Steele wants a clarification from you.

Uh... OK then. When I was a kid, my mom told me that NOT tucking my shirt in was sloppy.
Personally, I think that this whole thing is stupid. Either you make a dress code and enforce it for EVERYONE (the only exception I can think of is for medical reasons) or you don't have that particular rule in the dress code.

Or, if you have to buy special uniforms, there's the monetary issue, but most places will help you pay for them anyway. I think they're stupid to begin with, but if they're gonna it should apply to everyone or it's pointless.
