Isn't there a big "OMFG TEH RAPTURE" thing about every decade or so?
What makes these morons think tyhat it;s gonna happen this time, when it hasn't happened any of the other bazillion times they've predicted it?

Isn't there a big "OMFG TEH RAPTURE" thing about every decade or so? No, the largely recognised ones are every few years, not nearly as sparse as just once a decade. If you start counting ones recognised by just small groups as well you're looking one every couple months at least, possibly one every few weeks or even days. Because thinking otherwise requires them learning from past mistakes, and recognising actual patterns instead of projecting their desire.

This is one of the few areas where I can respect RR. They actually have a ban on even trying to predict the Rapture.

Seems they are now predicting the Rupture every 3rd Tuesday unless there is a double "R" in the month. Of course each and every one is infallible as it was clearly stated in the Bi ble, which as we all know has NO mistakes in it. Anyhow, to call them morons is to upgrade them.

I feel sorry for his wife. Did he sell everything before or after the separation?

Dan, article didn't say, but I'd assume after. ironbite, I doubt it. But I'm sure there are many people who sold all their stuff. Really sad.

I find this particular prediction, and the hype associated with it, to be (relatively) underwhelming. They seem to have deviated from the standard interpretation being seven years of "Tribulation" and instead claim that Earth's destruction is about one-hundred and fifty days later. This really doesn't follow the narrative in the Book of Revelation. I don't understand why they are getting media attention, except for the fact that they are driven to draw attention to themselves in various American cities.

And radio stations, which I listen to on occasion. Harold Camping never fails to make me laugh. If you can find it, the program is called Open Forum. Good stuff. But yeah, just going off what he says, they have their radio stations, they translate the messages and send them out in other languages for the rest of the world, and fund mission trips. I will wait another 8 days before calling it a waste of time.

I doubt I met that guy specifically, but there are a lot of folks who have done just that. On the 21st at midnight, I will be standing in my back yard, naked and drunk. Just in case

Always a good way to enjoy a weekend!
... Unfortunately, one of my co-workers believes in this bunk... If I don't see him Monday, I'll know why. If I do, I'll laugh at him.

He sounds like he just came from the pits of hell himself. Definitely not a guy who should be doing radio.
