To all the people here at fstdt, I'd just like to start by saying thank you for being the family I need when my own family can't come through for me. I know a lot of the board is atheist and agnostic, so this makes this all the more special for me. I know you'll all continue to love me and support me even though my religious beliefs go against the norm for this place. Could RR say the same?
Well, like the title says, I'm getting baptized next Sunday. This is a very hard decision that has taken me several months to come to. I always knew I believed in a God, it just took me awhile to listen to my heart on which God I believed in. Don't worry, I'm not going to change that much. I won't become an RR clone. I'll still be pro gay, pro choice, pro evolution. I'll just be a kinder, happier, gentler Chi. I feel like a million weights have been lifted off my shoulders and I want to say thank you, in advance, to all of you for helping me with this transition.

Do I have to do anything? If I don't have to do anything I don't care.

Congratulations on your decision! Be careful of your newfound lightness...you remember what happened to Charlie Bucket in the fizzy lifting drink room?

I tip my hat (even though it looks stupid in this beanie) and congratulate you on coming to such a difficult decision. I wasn't here for most of it, so I'm not really sure that I have much room to say anything, but it's still really nice to see someone happy.
Once again, congratulations, and I hope that things go excellently for you on Sunday.

For the record, you don't need magic water to get weights off of you. In fact I'm pretty sure water is a terrible way to do that. Unless they're water-soluble weights. Are they made of salt? I'll bet some company makes salt weights. Work out AND reward your horse or other ungulate! Wait, I'm not sure if horses are ungulates. I should check Wikipedia.
Anyway, I forget what I was saying.

Incidental, don't some of the most frequent commenters identify as Christian (or in many cases, diest with Christian cultural elements)? So I say you'll fit in FSTDT just fine.

I'm happy for you. I hope it's as special a day as you deserve... ...*wonders if DiDi's being baptized as a clueless 8-year-old devalues all baptisms*
