I'd like to note that the scientific use of proof is a lot more rigorous than the common use of the word. Similar to the difference between a theory in science and the common use of the word.
Average Joe Proof is that Einstein was right. Scientific version would be that the results reflect what Einstein's figure predicted as far as we can currently measure. AKA "It wasn't proven wrong, so we don't currently need to figure out if he was completely off or if it's a matter of a lack of precision."
Scientists are assholes like that.
