Eh, I wouldn't be worried about the spoilers anyway, there's nothing forcing people to read this thread before watching and it's pretty obvious people are going to discuss what has happened in the most recently aired episode.

Well, considering that the thread was about the characters up until the end of the first page (when the big twist from the second to last episode was spoiled), I'd say that was a false assumption. Put a damn spoiler tag on the thread, if you are going to spoil something.

So yeah, are they going to release a clash of kings next year?
It wouldn't surprise me if they just named it Game of thrones season 2, but there better be a follow up after that ending...

Yeah, there is. A second season was signed after the first episode aired.

I don't remember where I saw the headline, but the second season is supposedly good to go for the Spring of 2012.

George R. R. Martin was kidding. He actually hasn't started writing "A Dance With Dragons".

Holy necro, batman! But I was actually wondering if we had a thread for this anyway, so it kind of worked out. I was shocked when I got to that part in the book. But it was a good shocked. I wonder if we're going to hear these complaints every time a major character gets killed off? I wasn't really shocked by that scene, but I was shocked by the Red Wedding . I'd heard about it, but no details, so it was completely unexpected.

That didn't shock me. By that point I had gotten used to the idea that any character can offed at anytime.

It wasn't so much the fact it happened - I figured they wouldn't last to the end of the series - but the way it happened

I wish some kind soul would give the same televisual treatment to George R R Martin's Wild Card series.
