Part of me feels sorry for everyone who falls for the right wing propaganda. I really do. I mean, how hard must it be to live your whole life knowing only a very small and highly biased part of the story. On the other hand, there's a certain amount of flagrant, willful ignorance required to fall for it the way they do. It doesn't take a lot of searching to find better answers than Fox and Glen Beck can give.

.... Again, Margaret Sanger might have been a batshit eugenecist but the whole "exterminate the Negro population" thing was actually a fucking quotemine. She also disagreed with what was going on in Nazi Germany with forced abortions of non-Aryans and the forcing of Aryan women to have their babies--she was pro- choice after all. Add this to the numerous reasons why the "Black Genocide" campaign is pure, condescending, manipulative bullshit aimed at low-income black families. Fuck you Patrick Mahoney and fuck you Troy Newman. Sanger was a eugenicist and racist by todays standards. This was not unusual for the time. But she was also against abortion in general, not just forced abortions. And it was for her as much on moral grounds and a health issue. That's a conundrum for anti-choicers. They want to believe that Planned Parenthood is slavishly committed to all of sangers views, so much that they are still following eugenics that was discredited ages ago. SO much so that P.P. ignores many of Sanger's views. Besides, how effective can a genocide be if you have to wait around for your victims to come to you and pay for it? Either PP is a slave to all of sangers views or it isn't. When I have brought this up to anti-choicers, they just brush it off. As I recall, Nazis didn't exactly wait politely for Jews to buy train tickets.

...how hard must it be to live your whole life knowing only a very small and highly biased part of the story. ... Ironically I have found that to many it's a kind of comfort. No ambivalency, everything is black and white and truth is absolute. Yes they would seem more prone to making bad decisions. GIGO and all that. But so often these consequences are passed onto or blamed on others.
