The image is working for me too, but I had to force it to open in another tab first.

The image is working for me too, but I had to force it to open in another tab first. Because it is still in your cache or whatever.

I love the feel of a picture in my cache. Deep in there. Oh baby.

Gesundheit. (Translation: The image isn't showing up again) Huh? It's working on my end. EDIT: BTW, when people quote posts with images in them, they usually should remove the img tags. It's annoying scrolling past the same image over and over again. Website owners have to pay for hosting, as I'm sure you know. What a lot of people don't realize is that some hosts charge extra money to the websites for extra bandwidth, and when people embed their images all over the web, this costs the website more money (in this case, tvtropes). Because of this, the webmaster will often put hotlinking protection in place, to prevent this bandwidth theft. When I revamped a website for a girl who interviews celebrities and people kept hotlinking images from her site, I went one step further, replacing celebrity images with a small gif that said the person who embedded the image is stealing bandwidth. It took very little bandwidth for this gif, but sent a clear message to people who probably just didn't know any better. As Vene said, the reason you saw it is because it was cached on your computer (saved in your temporary files) from when you viewed it on their website. Back to the original topic, I'm glad they finally got something back from the bank, and hope it was more than enough to cover their expenses and troubles.
