Yeah. Just another idle side note: Still really ashamed about my city right now. I had a feeling there'd be a repeat of 1994 one way or another.

Political protest is a massive turn-on, IMO. Also, that is a very well-composited photo. Well, this isn't a political protest. The same thing happens in Montreal if the Canadiens win the cup or even so much as make the playoffs. Regardless of whether they win or lose. Massive riot. On the other hand, it is a well done photo.

On a little more serious note, that's actually a pretty sweet photo.

To everyone who is saying this is photoshopped, I can assure you with 100 % certainty that it is NOT. This is from the Vancouver Riots after the Canucks lost to the Bruins. Rioting broke out in Vancouver. Businesses were destroyed and many people were injured, including some of the police officers that went to try and get things under control. That was a sad day to be a Canadian. Again: NOT photoshopped. Nightangel Edit: Just adding this... ca.sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/The-identity-of-Vancouver-8217-s-famous-kissing?urn=nhl-wp7436

I'm kinda proud that Calgary didn't riot after the Flames lost game 7 to Tampa back in 2004. It was just people sadly marching down the Red Mile, making "Flames in 8!" jokes, mourning the loss of public tit-flashing.
And on the way home, when the C-Train broke down, we had a "Let's go train, let's go" chant. Good times.

Calgary didn't riot... but sadly my hometown of EDMONTON did... and it wasn't even for THEIR team. Whyte Ave was trashed. >.< Nightangel<--------lives in Edmonton... somewhat ashamed.

Edmonton rioted on Calgary's behalf? I don't even know what's real anymore.
Or are you talking about 2006?
e: Ah, your edit explains all.
Actually, a lot of people here were on the Edmonton bandwagon in 2006. Many got all pissy when they lost, though some stuck to the "haha fuck Edmonton!" routine.

Not entirely sure what year, but I know they did riot when Calgary lost. It's not the first time it's happened either. I think I've heard of riots due to hockey games happening on Whyte ave at least three times over the years.

See, our cities are like siblings. We give each other a hard time, but really, we still love each other. Though, if there were a Calgary v. Edmonton round in the Western finals, I think it might rip Alberta right in half...

Oh geez... Flames vs. Oilers....
Yup, that'd be Alberta divided... O.O Scary thought... I'm kinda hoping it's always gonna be one or the other against someone else...

Either my town is civilized or we're just more than aware that our team sucks. Of course The Warriors getting into the Memorial Cup Finals did prompt the construction of a bigger multiplex at the expense of several small businesses whose property is going to be used as a parking lot.
