There is no act so horriffic and moraly repugnant that it wont be done to children.
There is no court of law that wont do the wrong thing at the drop of a hat.
The sheer obscenity of what we see here, does not shock or astonish me. But neither does it diminish my belief that there are good people in the world.

There really should be a psych evaluation done when it comes to adopting children. Or just having children in general.

Apparently cause of a fucking plea bargain. Sometimes I really fucking hate plea bargains. As someone who wants to be a prosecutor, and someone who is familiar with Federal sentencing guidelines, I cannot wrap my head around offering just probation. Sure, offer a moderate prison sentence with the threat that if they don't accept, you will take them to trial. But to just jump to probation? I have no idea. to be a fly on the wall when they decided... |

Why would they adopt just to abuse them?!! Fucking seriously? Because, unfortunately, many people think what they are doing is simply discipline and not abuse, and so do not see any problem with it. Don't forget the money, it's not much money and it doesn't really pay for more than a small portion of the cost of raising them, but idiots don't understand things like this. |

Yes, I can put aside my dislike of Russians on two counts: Adopted, and KIDS. KIDS! Even if they weren't adopted or kids, this would still be horrific. Disliking people based on their nationality isn't cool. eta: I'm not trying to jump down your throat, but I just found this comment kind of offensive. |

Is it wrong of me to be fantasizing about a nice fat missile's exhaust plume shining in twilight, carrying its payload of incendiary justice onto the front porch of this couple's home? Anything less seems inadequate to erase this kind of wrong. Nah, failing that? Fire. Lots of fire. Their home is surrounded by dry grass, and if the wind's blowing west, the smoke could potentially cause problems for the nearby Interstate 25. |

The disipline thing does seem likely... too many folks raised with that "it's okay to hit kids, I <3 spanking tee-hee" idiots. Just cause it worked with you it might not work with your kids and guess what? The fact that you're beating your kids and calling it parenting kinda proves it didn't work on YOU in the first place. |
