Just nit-picking here, but don't people mostly ignore the bad things a person has done shortly after they pass away? Like some sorta respect for the dead thing... Not saying it's right, just that we do it. Good point, after all look what happen when Reagan croaked, it was a whole week of him was the greatest thing since sliced bread, blah, blah, blah.... Sorry, but I don't: A bastard is a bastard to me, regardless of whether they're dead or alive.

The only thing dumber than a Texan is a Texan with authority.

The only thing dumber than a Texan is a Texan with authority. What about a Texan with authority and a hand on the switch?

Presumably to end up paying the school district's legal costs she must have been unsuccessful with her claim? I wouldn't mind reading how she failed in her claim because (excuse the basketball metaphore) it sounds like a slam dunk.

If you find anything, do please let us know?

A requirement of being in the cheer-leading squad is to cheer for the players regardless. While requiring that she keep a low profile is a problem, all I can see is that she was dropped from the cheer-leading squad. He parents then sued the school. I dont know what exactly they sued for, but I am of the opinion it was not a valid claim. As with all legal cases when one looses one must pay the legal fees of the winner. The $35K has nothing to do with the rape. It is a case of the parents against the school.

She should never have been kicked from the cheer-leading squad, instead the rapist should have been kicked from the team.

She should never have been kicked from the cheer-leading squad, instead the rapist should have been kicked from the team. Thats what I would have said. But then, I'm not a high school administrator, nor do I think sport is important in any way, shape or form.

And that is why you are not a high school administrator.

He shouldn't be in school, he should be in jail.
