*pokes head in* Uhm. I do American Civil War and whatever else I can get my hands on. I want to get into 16th century though since that's what some of the local Ren faires do. [/quote Am working on that, waiting for some people to get back to me.

I've been waiting for a reason to buy a new sword and if I can get back into re-enactment then I have a reason.

Why the hell do people do this??? Time travel/planet-with-culture-suspiciously-like-Earth's-but-in-a-previous-time-period episode. Completely justified.

Why do you think I got the other two swords?

Why do you think I got the other two swords? One for each hand, obviously.

This is true. Plus I couldn't pass it up. Cause... new swords.

Dun like hammers. Like sharp pointy things. Meet the Morning Star. I was briefly famous among Australian mediaevalists for managing to audibly shout through an arming hood, mail coif, and great helm, loud enough for a couple hundred people to hear, "what the fuck is THAT??!" when confronted in a judicial duel by a guy with a mace. I carry a nice big rondel misericorde as my side arm, offsetting my Hanwei arming sword. Just for fun I tried it in a demonstration once... hamering on the big disc pomel with a mailed fist it WILL punch through armour.

I have two very fine daggers: One is a bollock dagger I'm getting quite handy with, the other a very nice rondel that needs a lot of repair work done.
