Well sort of... www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14135523Once the guy told them his headgear was in religious recognition of the FSM police made him prove he was psychologically fit to drive. I just wonder if they can explain why they don't do the same for people wearing hijabs, turbans or skull-caps.

They shold just straigth-up do it anyway. It'd ban half the drivers on the road. Religious or otherwise.

To be completely fair, hijabs and skullcaps aren't more typically used to strain spaghetti than as headgear.
...*steals one of each for testing purposes*

I see this more as a commentary on how fucking stupid people are allowed to be in the name of religion and no one is allowed to question them for it.
But that might just be me.

Honestly. I don;t see why it matters if he wears a strainer on his head. Also. I read the Gospel of the Flying Speghetti Monster cover to cover, and there are no strainers anywhere. There were colenders.

To be completely fair, hijabs and skullcaps aren't more typically used to strain spaghetti than as headgear. ...*steals one of each for testing purposes* And weren't spawned as a novelty. That's what YOU think. True Fact: Skullcaps were introduced by the hip Hebrew youth as a rebellious fashion statement. Everybody thought the craze would die out. As far as hijabs, it wasn't the clothing itself that was the novelty so much as the type of 'person' who typically wears them. Women, you see, were invented as toys for men. That's why God hates gay men-- he thinks they're like petulant little kids who shove their plates away and refuse to eat. *reads back over the post* ...holy shit, what is wrong with me.

Yes, yes, we all know that followers of FSM are engaging in brilliant social satire and not being trendy douchebags who think they are "clever." This would have possibly been solid satire a few years ago. And I say, "possibly" because it's a hard sell to insist that the standards for a piece of religious headgear and a faux-religion fad are remotely the same. And yes, I know it APPEARS that I'm actually defending religious folks' doing crazy things, but really, I'm just engaging in brilliant social satire on how far people will go to justify doing crazy shit in the name of a fad.
