Not sure if this belongs here or in "Entertainment and Television," but...
What if there were an official site dedicated to the fictional "Church of Hyrule," based on the mythology in the Zelda games?
I've already checked Google and there isn't an entry listed for this one. I still can't believe no one's done this. After all, there's a "Church of Google" and a "Church of Spongebob Squarepants." I think it's high time we added another fictional religion to the Internet, just to watch the fundies squirm.
The only downside is, I can see this easily becoming a very complex and time-consuming project. Even after obtaining the web space, there would need to be written copies of "The Testaments" (plots of the Zelda games), the basic tenets of the "religion," rituals, etc. It would probably take upwards of 10 hours just to get everything typed up, much less to make a functional and aesthetically pleasing website out of it.
Any suggestions for such a project? Or should I abandon the idea before I get too attached to it?

Farore has bestowed upon me her infinite wisdom and now I realize that this is the way to go. O great goddesses of the Triforce of wisdom, power, and courage, give me the strength I need to conquer Ganon and restore peace to Hyrule!

Trying to think what the instrument the Ocarina of Time could be a biblical parallel of...I got nothing.
Seeing as that was the best Zelda game...possibly the best any game...I feel it should be important to the "religion".

I support this religion! And I'll be among your first converts. I pray to the mighty Nayru for acceptance...

This is the One True religion. Do not be deceived by Ganondorf, for he wants you to be sealed in the sacred realm with him.
Heed always to thy faerie when she sayeth, "Hey!", "Look!", and "Listen!".
By the way! If you so require my artistic abilities, I wouldn't mind drawing up some tracts to hand out to all the deceived souls.

Actually I talked about that with my friends.
-Din, Nayru and Farore form the Holy Trinity. -We can play Zelda's Lullaby and Epona's Song in our "church." -You must limit the amount of items you carry at all times (20 sticks, 4 bottles, 50 arrows, etc.) -Ganon is our version of Satan who was cast out of paradise (a.k.a. the Sacred Realm) -Red Potions can heal the sick, the blind and the deaf....but they cannot restore magic.

I prefer mine, the Church of Immediate Self-Gratification. You don't have to do anything except be a little more impetuous than you are now.

Oh, and cows can be sacred for us too in our religion ^_^ we'll just play music for them till they give milk. Also, don't hurt the Cuccos, you'll be sorry.
