Uniformed Marines said they were going to protect protesters. Would love to know if this happened. Also Addicting News has a bunch of interesting articles on occupy wall street. Nice to see the armed forces getting involved on the right side of this equation. Here's hoping their stand brings some more of their buddies along for the march. Also, it looks like NYU students are planning on joining the march planned for Wednesday. Their specific grievances are rising tuition rates and the difficulty college students are having finding jobs compared to other demographics. It doesn't help that student loan debt is expected to exceed one trillion dollars next year. Chances are that this will be the next bubble to burst.

Honestly, isn't this what most protests are?

Honestly, isn't this what most protests are? Sure, the protest might not immediately change anything, but there is nothing else. Letter campaigns, petitions, etc are completely useless.

I just found out about this today, and I'm frankly amazed that this isn't getting more media coverage.

MSNBC* seems to have finally gotten it's hands on this story... and then went and compared OWS to the Tea Party. I'm really not sure what to say about that; it's like everyone's scared of calling the teabaggers out on their fiscal hypocrisy. I also found this to be rather interesting (emphasis added): It's odd that they don't mention how the Brooklyn Bridge was only blockaded because the cops got in the way. That, or it's stupid to hold any MSM to anything resembling standards. *Originally typed "MSNBS". Freud, get in here!

...and Herman Cain weighs in. Good gods this guy is a fucking moron. (emphasis added) And thus he defines the GOP's talking points. And here's the video of him actually saying it:

Yeah, blame yourself for a crisis you had little to do, blame your self that the top 1% of society own over 40% of the financial wealth in the US, blame yourself that businesses are making record revenue yet are refusing to hire. Herman Cain, you are an idiot.
P.S. Many of the comments are actually quite good.
