._. Really really cute. I'd be gushing/d'aawwwwww-ing more but I'm really sleepy right now. Suffice it to say that made me smile.

When she grows up, she'll probably figure it out herself.
That being said, her day has definitely been made, so... I'm going to say "Good on ya" to the father.

And she'll learn an important lesson too.
Never trust digital photography.

If the kid were a real Star Wars geek, she'd know that Ewoks inhabit Endor, which is in a completely different galaxy, or rather they did a long time ago. I am very disappointed in her I must say.

I'm not a big friend of the lying-to-children thing.
Sure she's ecstatic now, but wait until she figures it out, and is disappointed at both the lack of Ewoks and the fact that her Dad lied to her. Not to mention the ridicule she'll encounter from classmates if she tries to tell them.

You kidding me? Kids will ridicule each other over anythingQuite frankly, it's nice to keep a bit of magic and fantasy in the world for kids at a young age. When they grow up, they'll eventually grow out of that stage. Besides, in a way, it teaches an important lesson. Even people who love you will lie to you, sometimes for your sake.

I'm kinda torn. On the one hand, my parents refused to lie to me about Santa Claus, and I'm grateful to them for that (I was the kid in second grade who broke all the Santa believers' hearts). They also made me believe in Hell and shit like that, which I am NOT grateful for.
On the other hand, this is fucking adorable and is nowhere near as dangerous as making a little kid believe zie will go to Hell or something. Provided that they continue to have a loving relationship, she'll probably look back on it with a smile and feel glad that her dad indulged her whimsy.
Regardless of how it turns out, she'll definitely look back and wonder how she didn't see that it was an obvious Photoshop job, but that's neither here nor there.

It's a memory. And it was her father putting in effort to make her dream come "true", albeit on a superficial level.
