Okay, so apparently there's an HPV vaccine being floated about for boys as well, and predictably there are people making noises about how it will kill boys (like the HPV vaccine Gardasil did for girls) and furthermore that the government doesn't care about it.
What, if any, is the truth of this and how dangerous is the HPV vaccine? Even though I'm 26 I'm considering possibly getting the Gardasil vacc if it would work for me. Because, y'know, various strains of HPV can fuck your shit up and I don't particularly care for my shit to be fucked by it.

The HPV vaccine is safe, go get one, and do it fast, there is an age cutoff you will reach at your next birthday.

About as dangerous as walking across the street when there aren't any vehicles within a mile of you.

The goal is to get it before you're sexually active (it is far less effective after that point). There have been studies on this (an example) showing recipients face diminishing returns as they age. The cutoff given by the CDC is 27 with it being recommended at 9 or so ( link). It's now being recommended that males also receive it ( link).

There are also reports of numerous deaths after the ingestion of mayonnaise.

I'm planning on getting the vaccine. I've always used protection, but I'm very fond of the "better safe than sorry" philosophy. The idea that the inoculation is causing mass deaths across the globe is sheer non-sense. Cervical cancer, on the other hand...

There have been studies on this (an example) showing recipients face diminishing returns as they age. Why the cutoff age of 27? (I can't read the link because it requires you to log in.) For the record, I'm not sexually active and never have been, so if that's the criteria for the cutoff, it doesn't apply to me. However, I'm thinking that in all likelihood most any guy I get with will likely not be a virgin... so that's why I want to get the vaccine now. What's the expense for it? I don't have health insurance and I'm pretty damn poor, so if it's prohibitively expensive, I'm out. I also know there's no way in hell my parents would help me get the vaccine, because they believe it's dangerous. So if I want to get it I'm on my own.

The cutoff is where it is because that is when the risk of the vaccine and the benefit of the vaccine no longer is in favor of getting it for the majority of the population. As for getting it, contact your county's health department, I've gotten vaccines from mine and it was something like $10 (and they were more concerned about getting me vaccinated then they were about receiving the money).
Also, there is no vaccine recommended by the CDC that is dangerous, if anything they're too strict with their safety requirements.

I got the vaccine for free but that's because my insurance covered it.
I am still alive and suffered no repercussions. The only danger is whether you have a bad reaction but they usually keep you around for 30-45 minutes to make sure nothing bad happens. They did for me anyways.

I had it, and I only had to wait around for 5-10, maybe 15 minutes after. No side effects.

My understanding is the wait is mainly for the fact you received an injection, and not for the vaccine itself. I, for one, used to have a severe phobia of needles, and once fainted a few minutes after having blood taken. It was a good thing I was sitting down for that, rather than collapsing in the parking lot, or worse, while driving (I had no idea I was going to faint until it actually happened).

Technical full disclosure answer, yes, vaccines (all vaccines) occasionally kill people. However, without exception, you are more likely to die of the disease any given vaccine protects against without the vaccine, than you are to die from the vaccine if you take it. Its a simple risk/benefit analysis.
