It would seem that INTP is becoming the trend. Damn I feel like such an outlier .

Jung said INTP "likes solitude, not revealing, unemotional, rule breaker, avoidant, familiar with the darkside, skeptical, acts without consulting others". He's right. Remove the "unemotional" part, and that's more or less true for me. Men and women's brains are wired differently. Human relationships. Women tend to communicate more effectively than men, focusing on how to create a solution that works for the group, talking through issues, and utilizes non-verbal cues such as tone, emotion, and empathy whereas men tend to be more task-oriented, less talkative, and more isolated. Men have a more difficult time understanding emotions that are not explicitly verbalized, while women tend to intuit emotions and emotional cues. These differences explain why men and women sometimes have difficulty communicating and why men-to-men friendships look different from friendships among women. Left brain vs. both hemispheres. Men tend to process better in the left hemisphere of the brain while women tend to process equally well between the two hemispheres. This difference explains why men are generally stronger with left-brain activities and approach problem-solving from a task-oriented perspective while women typically solve problems more creatively and are more aware of feelings while communicating. Emotions. Women typically have a larger deep limbic system than men, which allows them to be more in touch with their feelings and better able to express them, which promotes bonding with others. Because of this ability to connect, more women serve as caregivers for children. The down side to this larger deep limbic system is that it also opens women up to depression, especially during times of hormonal shifts such as after childbirth or during a woman’s menstrual cycle.

*groans* What a painful read. Are we really supposed to believe that the new batch of science-approved gender stereotypes is any more valid than the previous one, and the one before that? The part about mathematical abilities is the worst offender, and not just because it is based on the "comparative size of brain areas" (aka modern phrenology). Girls are only worse at maths than boys in countries where it is "common knowledge" that girls are on average worse at maths. This isn't just bullshit, it is harmful bullshit. Oh fuck that shit. How is that even necessary for the test? You'd think that a test designed by actual psychologists would manage to acknowledge that there are more than two genders. You shouldn't be surprised, really. There are different kinds of psychologists. The kind who puts such a great emphasis on all-encompassing personality tests is unlikely to give much though to the vapid, post-modernist idea that the gender binary is in any way flawed.

I'm not sure if it's even science approved: Those test fail to account the influence of culture and society in forming gender stereotypes. The sociological data and anthropological data suggest that those observation made above doesn't hold through cross culturally.

Also Vene wasn't even commenting on the study. Just that Twilight Zone had plagiarized something without proper citation.

I'm not in the mood to take a test, but I know I'm an INTJ. Maybe later I'll go dig out my old test results.
