I have 2 cats. Our dog is a German Shepard mix. Know which if the three is the most vicious? The female cat. The dog lays around and licks people. The female cat stalks and "kills" everything.

I don't have quite as much experience with cats as I do with dogs (my dad is deathly allergic), but I've noticed that female cats tend to be way more aggressive than male cats. Not that they're all evil or anything, it's just that if I'm going to end up getting my leg torn up it's usually a female cat doing it--the sweetest, mooshiest kitties I ever knew were all male. Except for Jewel and her kitten Maggie--when I was working at a stable they would take turns climbing onto me and riding around on my shoulders. I got so used to them being there that I nearly drove home once with Maggie still on me.
Any cat people here know why boy cats are much more mellow than girl cats?

But they are all evil.
Honestly, Cait, it's probably just coincidence.

Female cats probably see you're female and will act accordingly. Male cats don't see you as a threat. My Ville cat loves me very much and can barely tolerate my fiancee. Bam cat will just look at me huatily all the time. As for this law, it's another overreaction to a problem that can be corrected if people were just more responsible with their animals. Ironbite-honestly, hate these laws.

…And then people will start training other breeds to attack. It should be fun when they start using Bichons & Yokies as "fighting" type dogs

The problem is not the dog, it's the owner. I've known pit bulls who are the most loyal and obedient dogs I've ever seen, and I've also seen golden labradoodles who are complete assholes. It all depends on the owner.

Why can I not read this thread without hearing "Liberals panic when someone might kill dogs, but don't bat an eye when millions of babies are violently murdered each year by Planned Parenthood"?

This has me shaking my head. As a kid, we used to breed Chows, and they'd grow up to be some of the tamest animals around if you knew what you were doing. Not to mention the other dogs on that list.
I hate hysteria.

They should just kill the damn ankle biters instead.
Not really. That's animal cruelty. But I do hate ankle biters.

My pit bull mix is actually one of the nicest dogs I've ever owned.

I have lived with Chow Chows my whole life and never been bitten by any chow. I used to work in a dog parlour and I was the only one who could handle the chows because everyone else was too scared. If I was not there, Chows would be muzzled on arrival.
Short version, different breeds have different base personalities, instincts and temperaments. However, regardless, only the most feral or mistreated and abused of dogs will attack a human without significant provocation. The Animal welfare shelter often gets in the feral and abused dogs that may very well be too mentally scared to be rehabilitated. (I know of some really horrible stories about things that have happened to dogs) However this really should be done on a case by case basis, most dogs will be completely tame is shown respect and love.
Unfortunately I am aware that animal shelters are often hopelessly underfunded and sadly have to put down most of the animals they get in, simply because they just cannot care for that many animals.

Have a vicious attack dog: Kitty has probably killed for more creatures than the dog. Which is just funny.

It all depends on the owner. I’ve heard that the reason pit bulls make such good guard dogs is because of their loyalty. They form strong bonds with their owners, and as a result, do their best to protect those owners.

This issue pops up every couple years. It's like an epic game of Wac-a-Mole.
