rubbing alcohol
i can stand the sight of it, but the smell can really make me ill. it has something to do with this type of medication i had to inject into my arm. using the alcohol beofre hand. and now it just makes me think back to that...
unfortunately, i still have to use RA for my new injections, however, it is in my leg and not near my face at all..
suprisingly, i have no fear whatsoever of needles, syringes, blood. in fact, i perfer watching them put the needles in. it has something to do with my wanting to see everything that is done to me attitude.

Stickers, or any adhesive labelling/tacky surface, especially when the sticky bits are exposed. Makes me puke. Can't drink bottled beer in case the label slips off, for example.
Mind you, Mrs Muncher is scared of sponges.

I used to hate the feeling of having my nails cut and the feeling of touching anything (including my own palm when my hand was curled) after they were cut. That feeling usually took about a week to wear off. I've gotten used to it, though, and now I just dislike the feeling of rubbing my fingertips against a chalkboard, paper, or any similar surface.
Not much of a phobia, just a feeling that I can't stand. That reminds me, I have to cut my nails.
Edit: mistermuncher, does that include tape?

When I was younger, nailfiles.
I couldn't stand how they felt against my nails...

I hate nailfiles as well. Demonous contraptions. I also used to not be able to cut my nails. Usually just bit them down. Also, whenever I use nail clippers or three ring binders I can not shake the mental image of getting my genitals caught in them. I have no idea why. Its not really that abnormal, but crowds can give me a panic attack.

My mom tells me that when I was very young, I was terrified of Tina Turner's hair. When she had it like this, I hear. Yeah, I don't get it either. For current fears: 1) Every insect that ever existed. 2) Water deeper than my waist. 3) Being alone in the dark (not the dark itself). Though I'm getting over that finally.

I don't know what it is called, but a lot of jackets have this rough sandpaper-like texture. I'm guessing you mean a nylon/polyester windbreaker?

Nail Files, I hate them, and Weta's. Google them if you don't know what they are. I haven't got a picture.

I don't know if this is actually a phobia, but photos of people's heads with no body or even neck freak me out so hard. (I see them in ads sometimes)
One night my family had steak and crab for dinner (except me, I don't like crab so I just had steak) and I was doing the dishes and reached into the sink, which had dirty water in it, to unplug it, and touched a bunch of either raw crab or crab guts. It felt EXACTLY like a slug and I yanked my hand out of the sink and screamed. Spent the next five or ten minutes hyperventilating. Didn't help me to like crab any more than I did, either.

Mayonnaise.
I once almost lost my own lunch watching someone dip French Fries in some.

Even the not in any way shape or form threatening butterfly. Can't stand 'em! Ironbite-interestinly enough, I like crab and lobster and technically...those are big bugs.

Teddybears and dolls. Those are just too creepy. And clowns. *shudder* Dentists. Especially female dentists. Things that might be hiding in the dark. Open closet doors really can make me freak out so I try my best to block them so cats can't open them, our bed has no legs and so on... Butterflies and such creepy crawlers with wings. Moths are the worst. Fish. Live ones. In the water. Near me. The idea of one touching or swimming near me frightens me... Phobias really seem to keep multiplying when I get older *sigh* I don't even wan't to quess what I'm going to be afraid of when I turn 50

Hades, what's wrong with Tina Turner's hair? She's freaking hot and I think part of that's the hair.
But anyways, I have this fear of going down stairs in the dark. Those times when I have to, both hands are on the railing and I have to slide my foot to the edge and slide it down to the next step. It's a real pain in the ass.
