The second one is waaaaaaay worse. Yeah, I'm about to watch it. If it's terrible, I'll blame you. I don't know why I'm going to blame you, but I'll worry about justifying it later. Edit: Damn it, Deimos, this is all your fault. The sound effects were quite lovely, were they not? :3

Student Services
A French film about a college Freshman who can't afford her bills and in desperation answers an online personal ad for something that is thinly veiled prostitution. After taking the offer in the ad she continues to engage in prostitution and her life goes in to a downward spiral.
It was very well written, acted and directed, but I think what made it really good (besides having 3 songs by The Walkmen in it) is that there is no moralizing in the story.

Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows
Holmes is now some kind of figure of fun buffoon rather than an ecentric genious with hints of asberges, and there's a scene with a particlarly overwieght Steven Fry naked. But in spite of these things it's still entertaining.
It is rubbish btw, but its fun, entertaining rubbish that is non offenseive to your backside that has to sit there for 90 mins.

An American Christmas Carol with Henry Winkler as the Scrooge-figure. In some parts, he is more harsh than the canonical Scrooge (he actually fires his clerk on Christmas eve), but in most way his status as a misguided fool is played up even more (he gives something to the orphans—self-published pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps motivational pamphlets—in the middle of the Great Depression!).
Also—has a Ghost of Christmas Future dressed in true 70s style.
Gotta love this version.

I saw Cowboys and Aliens a few hours ago. I thought it was a fairly solid movie.
