I like emo music even though I bash it all the time....I'm in my 40s. I actually like My Chemical Romance, Secondhand Seranade, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Yellowcard, Panic, All-American Rejects, Linkin Park, etc. I even have a playlist called "Whiny Emo Shit".
Pearl Harbor is one of my top 20 favorite movies. And yes, I'm 100% heterosexual (but all of you should question it after that confession).
I like Michael Bay movies (my manhood should now be challenged).
I still watch WWE when I am traveling for work and totally mark out for Shawn Michaels and HHH. Admittedly, the WWE kinda sucks since Stone Cold and The Rock retired. But it's a guilty pleasure I'll only admit anonymously over the internet.

I'm a Jeff Hardy fan.
You may try to mock me for it but know this...
Ironbite-I bite.

I watch (and love) Supernatural, mainly because I think those boys are so damn smokin' hot but also because I like the story.
Oh and I have a secret crush on Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil (but I suppose that's for a strange crushes thread).

I'm a Jeff Hardy fan. You may try to mock me for it but know this... Ironbite-I bite. Especially if you ask nice. I mock him all the time. Besides, Matt Hardy is much better. I watch (and love) Supernatural, mainly because I think those boys are so damn smokin' hot but also because I like the story. I never knew enjoying Supernatural was a bad thing, TBH. I mean, I certainly know it's not the pinnacle of cultural entertainment, but it's enjoyable. Also, I can't hear "Carry On, Wayward Son" without thinking of them now.

Some of the things that I enjoy that others may find strange. Keeping in mind that this is coming from a 46 year old white heterosexual male.
I have the entire series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on DVD.
I still enjoy my music collection which includes: ABBA, Styx, KISS, Twisted Sister, Quite Riot, Journey, Bauhaus, Jimmy Buffet, and other 80's groups and individuals.
Included among my favorite films are the old Universal classic horror films from the 30's and 40's.
I liked the fourth Indiana Jones film.
I belive that Roger Corman was one of the most creative directors that ever came out of Hollywood.
Over the course of my life I have spent way too much money to build up my collections of H.P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Doc Savage, Dungeons & Dragons, Lost in Space, and several other fringe areas of interest.

I own the first two seasons on DVD and my brother and I have marathons. I'm a Jeff Hardy fan. You may try to mock me for it but know this... Ironbite-I bite. I'm a Jeff Hardy fan too. I came home from school last night, and my brother immediately started telling me about Jeff hitting Matt in the face. We were pretty excited. I was lying in bed last night when I thought of another confession. I still sleep with the same doll that I've had since I was three. I also still sleep with a nightlight.

Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Doc Savage, Dungeons & Dragons, Lost in Space, and several other fringe areas of interest. Is owning Buffy supposed to be bad for straight guys? Almost all the straight guys I know enjoy the show. What's wrong with Bauhaus? I don't get the hate for the fourth Indiana Jones movie, myself. I was a little nonplussed with the end, but people treat it like they updated Indiana Jones to the 00s with a hip leading actor, a plot that involved 9-11, and replaced his sidekick with a loveable talking alien. Though I am ashamed of you. By 46, you should have graduated from D&D into real Devil Worship. I too love Supernatural. I own the first two seasons on DVD and my brother and I have marathons. I'm waiting for Supernatural on BD. I have season 3 only as a result. I love it to pieces, though. My ex and I do marathons of a lot of the shows we love, Buffy included. Supernatural will probably make the list once I have the rest. I sleep with a night light, but primarily because I'm sensitive to light and my eyes adjust poorly, so it's impractical to turn on the lights if I need a drink or to go to the bathroom or bludgeon an intruder to death. Here's one. It gets me flak from almost every Harry Potter fan ever. I like the movies. I don't care if they butcher the books, because mostly I'm looking at the shiny CGI and the wand battles. I think they could be done better, but I enjoy them anyway. Besides, it could be worse. I'm a huge Susan Cooper fan, and the Seeker was far less faithful. I like a lot of low grade movies. Not necessarily B movies, bu popcorn flicks and the like. I watch A Knight's Tale pretty often, and I actually liked the Fantastic Four movies. I love the Emperor's New Groove, and one of my friends did so much he named his Rock Band 2 Band "Bad Llama." We had 80% of the lines to the movie memorised going in. Not that it was a bad movie, but it's looked down upon for two adults to love that movie so much. Most importantly, I'm a total geek. Not in any one specific sense, like I dress up for Ren Fairs or go to Comic Cons, or build my own gaming computers, but I have all sorts of geekish tendencies that ball up into one giant case of geekiness. On top of that, I'm capable of learning things without even trying, which tends more towards me absorbing trivia than learning useful things. An extensive knowledge of trivia and tech facts really does not help my case. I beat my Mom and Aunt at Trivial Pursuit--Sixties edition, even though they both lived through the sixties and I flunked history line 900 times. I am sometimes confused for a history geek, simply because I remember so many things people have said and how common historical information is. My trivial abilities come in nice for when I'm faking authority on something when writing fiction. I'm not Aasimov, but at least I don't sound like George Bush when I talk about DNA. Also, I love the occult. I'm not really into it, but I still find it fascinating. I used to hang around various shops just for the exposure.

Yay! it's so nice to know there are other Supernatural fans around. Most of my friends just look at me like I am crazy when I say I like it.
Even my fiance, who bought me the first three on DVD at Christmas time, has to be cajoled into watching it.

You heretic! Kidding. Depends a lot on which fans, really, considering I got my fair amount of criticism for not liking them. One of my own: I happen to be able to enjoy virtually any fantasy book, no matter how poorly written it is or how many clichés you force through the plot. Put a wizard/dragon/dragon wizard/wizard riding a dragon/etc in a book and I'll read it and have fun doing so. It's not that I can't tell the difference between J.R.R. Tolkien and Christopher Paolini, more like I don't care.

Though I am ashamed of you. By 46, you should have graduated from D&D into real Devil Worship. Taking into account that I started playing when the game first came out in the mid 70's, meaning I've been playing for roughly 34 years, you would think that I be one of the most powerful Satanists on the planet. Instead all its done is give me good math skills, gotten me over the shyness I had as a child, allowed me to interact with individuals from all over the country and encouraged my interest in history. In fact, playing that stupid game has caused me more independent learning and individuality then any other hobby I've had.

I adore Supernatural (Jensen Ackles, oh my...) and Buffy - all Joss Whedon shows, in fact, though Angel got weird once Connor appeared.
I also adore Xena: Warrior Princess. Yep, it's cheesy as hell, but it rocks my goddamn socks off.
I've got a few My Chemical Romance songs that my friend sent me - and I don't hate them. I unashamedly love 80s cheese like Kansas, Journey, Asia... list goes on.
I roleplay and I've written fanfiction (not Transformer!porn xD).
I love anime, but I particularly appreciate shoujo - which is funny, since I can't stand live action rom-coms, blech.
Legolas was always my favourite LOTR character, but when Orlando Bloom played him, I lost the ability to form coherent words for three hours and the floor in the cinema was covered in drool.

I like Will and Grace, I find it hilarious. I'm also, much to my shame, a complete francophile, despite the fact that je parle francais comme une vache espagnole, and I'm pretty certain I got that wrong. My favourite bands are J-pop and j-pop inspired thai bands. I genuinely believe that Om Shanti Om was better than Slumdog Millionaire, hell I believe that Lajja, Black and White and possibly Jodhaa Akbar were better.
But worst of all....I like Bleach. *hides from the wrath of anime fans*
Edit: Also I hated to kill a mockingbird

hmmmmm, confessions
I'm not a natural redhead, I'm blonde.
I haven't finished Ulysses but not for want of trying.
I am shamefully uneducated in the history of my own country, Australia, but can tell you reams of stuff about other places.
Have been known to listen to Kylie.
Haven't spoken to my relatives in over four years.

I write fanfiction. No, it's not Transformers fanfiction, so don't ask. I also still watch Scooby-Doo. I like Linkin Park, and I collect mechanical pencils (my friends all make fun of me for it). I also have some other embarrassing favorites, but I'm not posting those.
