Okay, I'm going to be blunt: I think Bobby Jindal is completely and utterly insane; but this is what happens when the Republican Party keeps scraping the bottom of the political barrel: they come up with an anti-science lunatic who actually wrote a paper in college about he and his friends pinning a woman down and performing an exorcism on her.Yes I realize that this article was written before Sarah Palin was chosen as McCain's Vice Presidential nominee, but this article is still (sadly) relevant: tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/06/bobby_jindals_dance_with_the_d.phpTo paraphrase Bill Maher, would anyone take this asshat seriously if he claimed to be a werewolf hunter back in college, or if he claimed to have once wrestled a leprechaun for his pot of gold? The media should be ripping this jerk-off a new one, but because it's his "Christian faith", no one wants to risk being impolite.

I heard about the whole exorcism bit. I don't take him seriously and I think in the long run, nobody else will. It's just now he's all new and fresh to those idiots.

I think the Republicans will side with anyone on desperation alone.

They're mining the depths to rebrand the GOP as anything but old white men.
It hasn't been working out well for them, obviously - Palin, Steele, Jindal....the only thing that's left is for some retarded gay republican to pop out of the woodwork and finish them off for good.

He new and he is not stark white, so the GOP is pushing him like it is some kind of change.

They already sort of tried the retarded part when they tried to gain sympathy by waving around Sarah Palin's Down Syndrome baby like a pro-life stage prop: Look, I'm touching it, I'm a good person!

Uhh I am not sure Jindal IS the bottom of the barrel. Every time I think they can't get anyone worse, the GOP proves me wrong.

As I recall when he was to speak at an RNC convention, a group of cons wanted him arrested for sodomy. I doubt they have loosened up any since then.

I'm sorry but I giggled.
Ironbite-sodomy and loosened up do not belong in any type of serious type post.

The Republicans' problem is that they think they lost because McCain wasn't conservative enough. Therefore, they're looking for a candidate as far to the right as possible.

This is the kinda stuff that makes me laugh, the more they form this party to be the religious and good one, the more they isolate themselves to just nutters, morons, and tools. they're like Hank Hill bonding with a guy, if ya can't fish, shoot, or work on a truck with their target voters, anything else they just cringe, tighten up and bury themselves in their little fantasy land some more

Yep Mcconnell was talking about how the GOP's plan is to reframe the Democrat's message. Not actually come up with new policies. Oh no. Just trick people into thinking 2+2= Moo. They know they need to change but they still seem to think their problem was they weren't convincing enough people (not that that the problem was they were all too good at convincing people to follow policies that did not work as advertised) Cod bless them. If they continue that should give the rest of us a few decades to fix the mess they made.
