I saw that earlier, it was great. Check out his other videos, they're all gems.

Ugh. Can I get a transcript? The sound quality isn't the greatest, and I'm having a hard time understanding through the accents. Heh, from what I've been able to make out, it's scary accurate.

He raises a point. How can a biologist claim to be an expert when he doesn't even know who Moses was?

I got 4, maybe 5 minutes into it. I couldn't finish it, its so accurate in it's depiction of every single young earth creationist on Earth that I couldn't resist the urge to yell "You dipshit!" at my labtop.

Also...good sweet Farlanghan, that was stupidly accurate.

I made it to 6:03 and had to stop. Wuss. Fine. I finished it. Are you happy now?! Too bad it's considered poor etiquette to set people on fire in the middle of a debate.

Since when has etiquette mattered in debate?

He raises a point. How can a biologist claim to be an expert when he doesn't even know who Moses was? Are you being facetious? I don't like how ignorant the biologist was on the subject of religion. Sure, the point is that it's irrelevent to the debate and he admits when he is mistaken, but most people who argue against creationists really aren't that ignorant of religion. I think the video states that he comes from another culture, which sort of justifies it.

I think the point was that the biolgist was as embarrasingly ignorant about religion as the fundie was about biology, however the biologist didn't presume to tell the fundie that he knew more about religion than the fundie did, whereas (mindfuckinlgy ignorant) YECs have absolutely no reservation in telling trained biologists that they know more about biology.

Well...yeah. I could understand if it was anthropology, but I don't see how biology & Moses are connected. The biologist WAS embarrassingly ignorant, which is my point. It's all well & good that he doesn't claim to be an expert on religion, but it also has some unfortunate implications.
