I'm a big football fan. To non-americans, I don't mean soccer, I mean American Football.
I'm trying to compile a list of atheist athletes.
What I have so far:
Robert Smith, former running back for Minnesota Vikings Lance Armstrong, bicyclist Jonathan Edwards, T&F athlete from UK

I would help you, but I don't know that many that actually go around proclaiming it... and I'm not a big enough fan of people to go and research anyone or find out gossip about them. I'm sure there are many though.

I wish Robert Smith from The Cure was a Running Back. That would be funny.

Last I knew Edwards was pretty much fundy, presented religious programming on the BBC a couple of times and held up my my church's youth pastor as an example of imaginary friends leading to world records.
I may be wrong though.

Pat Tillman was an atheist, however I think he might of become one in Afghanistan. I think the same goes for Kevin also.

I wish Robert Smith from The Cure was a Running Back. That would be funny. One time I heard Robert Smith was going to be on The Daily Show. Being something of a Cure fan, I was looking forward to it. But then the show comes on and it's some football player. Lame.

That cyclist guy...can't remember his name. Won the Tour de France like 7 times.
Oh, and does Bruce Lee count? Those are the only two I know about (other than Edwards), and one of them I can't even remember his name lol.
Edit - just saw you already got the cyclist. Bruce Lee is all I've got then. Not sure if he counts as an athlete in the sense that you mean.
