Thank you! I have enough games to tide me over until the beginning of the Fallout game timeline. XD I know the feeling. I bought several games during a previous Steam sale, but SW:TOR has come out and that is the only thing I have been playing.

Huh... I never really had a problem with the stabbing motion. If anything, I had the most trouble trying to do diagonal slashes, as the system kept wanting to think I had either done a vertical or horizontal one. I've never had trouble with slashes in any direction. But it takes me about 5 tries for the game to register one stab. The rest are all interpreted as slashes. I did eventually beat Moldarach, by the way.

I happen to have a spare Minecraft gift code that it turns out I have no use for (it was a Christmas present for some relative but it turns out they already have it). If anyone wants it, PM me. First come, first served.
...And now it's been claimed.

So, the beta for the Mass Effect 3 demo was just leaked, and now the entire thing is online.
It's still pretty unfinished so far, so don't completely judge it yet.
Warning. Massive spoilers ahead.

In related news, I finally got Mass effect 1 working. I bought it a year ago but it didn't work on my old computer (I tried using compatibility modes) but yesterday I finally got it started. Lucily I had resisted the urge to read the story or watch a playtrough so I have not been exposed to that many spoilers.
So far the game looks fun.

AAAAAAAAAAAARGH FUCK YOU MOLDARACH. FUCK YOU SO HARD. All the game sites talk about how easy Moldarach is to defeat. You have to stab it in the eye. Not slash, STAB. Slashing does nothing except make it angry. Stabbing is really fucking hard. Ergo, I am probably going to die another dozen times before I defeat him. For those who want to know what I'm talking about: Hahaha... oh dear, I'm worried now. You see, I'm in the Lanayru desert right now. Which means I'm going to have to face this thing sooner or later. As for me, I notice that as long as I don't do anything rapidly, the game is generally reliable (though it registers stabs half a second after I actually do the motion) However, there have been a few oddities. Sometimes, when I do a horizontal slash, I do a vertical slash instead. If I swing rapidly from left to right to left, eventually Link starts slashing in every which direction. One time, I was trying to do a left-to-right slash and kept doing stabs :V And this was after struggling with stabs when fighting the skulltulas in Faron's temple. Ah well. Still a fun game. Link's movement controls are a bit wonky (It's FAR too easy to accidentally jump off of cliffs when trying to angle yourself around something) but I can forgive that.

Okay. So... the Lego games are the perfect choice on a 3DS. I also need to pick up some pokemon games and see what all has changed.

Okay. So... the Lego games are the perfect choice on a 3DS. I also need to pick up some pokemon games and see what all has changed. Depending on the last Pokemon game you played, it could be quite a bit. I'd be more than willing to go into details if you wanted to chat about it. Though it would be harder to convey properly on forums... *Shrugs* Maybe you could PM me messenger info or something if you wanted to talk about it? I have AIM, MSN, and YIM. If not, no biggie. (Edit) Or, now that I actually notice, all my messenger info is there under my avatar... so uh... yeah. Feel free to just message me if you want to chat about PokéStuff.

uh i think the last one was crystal. o.o Well then, a LOT has changed. It's now a very different game than it was back in those days. They're pretty much universally good forms of "different", but it's a lot of changes to go over.

See the reason I stopped playing is it was no longer the game I enjoyed as a 10 year old.

See the reason I stopped playing is it was no longer the game I enjoyed as a 10 year old. It still very much can be that game. But there also a lot of deeper levels meant to appeal to an aging original audience who want a more compelling and competitive experience. Though a lot of those factors are "behind the scenes" thing that just aren't a factor if all you want to do is play through the games and have some fun with that.

Good news...we got a few games for the Xbox.
Bad news: The CD tray won't open. There's no game in it but I'm not sure what's going on.
Ironbite-anyone got any clues?

My fiancee pulled a trick on me with my Christmas present. I had been playing TES: Oblivion, so had the game shell propped up on top of the game tower. Saturday night when I walked out of the room, she moved the shell into the tower and placed Skyrim in its place. I never noticed. When she pointed it out to me Christmas morning, I almost squee-d. (She also got me the guide book.)
