Moles and birthmarks, among other things on my list, ARE non-functioning, sitting there, doing nothing. Hell, most of those things up on that "vestigal man" could technically be called mole overgrowths.

I was referring more to body hair and organs such as the appendix. I agree with you about moles and birth marks being an example of pointless (or even detrimental) features, but a lot of creationists tend to hand wave that stuff by saying that it's the result of "sin" corrupting our DNA, or even that our DNA was designed to be imperfect. Actually, even if we did look like evolution man, they'd probably still claim it was all caused by sin.

Well hey, that website does have one useful function: it can be used in biology classrooms as an example of what evolution is not.

Wouldn't hair in general be considered a vestigial structure, considering that humans have adapted to use clothing?

Not head hair. We need that in the winter. Same with facial hair, though only men having it is pretty shitty. It would be just as useful for the women.

We seem to get along pretty well without women having facial hair. Seems to me that shows that facial hair is unnecessary. (Except for disguising my lack of a chin) * * * Human tails. They're either vestigial from a tailed ancestor, in which case creationists are wrong, or they mean that species can spontaneously sprout new parts, in which case creationists are wrong.

Creationists (and the vast majority of humans) don't count it as a tail because it doesn't stick out. Hell, it's what, two bones long? Seriously...

That thing just looks like the Flying Spaghetti Monster's handicapped son.
And is it just me or does Creation Man look like Eric Hovind, son of fraudster and creationist Kent Hovind?

Well I am correct right?
Creationists think evolution is chance, when really the dices are loaded towards a certain set of traits.

Wouldn't hair in general be considered a vestigial structure, considering that humans have adapted to use clothing? Hair, no, but goosebumps would be a vestigial reflex. In other animals, creating an air pocket underneath the fur helps insulate them. Humans don't have enough hair for that to work. Also, I think the hair on our head is more advantageous in preventing our scalps from sunburning than keeping us warm. And some races either can't or have difficulty growing facial hair and get along just fine, so that seems to be almost completely vestigial.

It's not vestigial! How else would I attract 90's chicks, if I didn't have my neatly trimmed goatee??

"Why are there no vestigial organ donation cards?" Do they understand what "vestigial" means? It means you don't need it. If you lose it, you don't need it. If you have it when you die, no one else wants it.

Problem is, creationists don't realize that 'vestigial' means 'unnecessary to survival' rather than 'non-functioning'. Still not quite right. More that it isn't doing its original purpose. For example, the wings of a penguin. They are vestigial, they cannot use their wings to fly, but they are necessary for the penguin to survive.
