....or does anyone else here care?
If so the night did not disappoint. Leben vs Akiyama and Bonnar vs Soszynski where both wars. Lesnar proved that he can take a punch and deserves the Heavyweight belt.

Didn't watch it. So Lesnar won? I thought he might not have been at his best given his health problems?

I missed it as there are only a few fighters in UCF that interest me, though Lesnar is one of them. I'm glad he won. I've watched him since he wrestled in WWE, and I'm glad he could make the transitition to MMA fighting.

He just has not made the transition, he has become the best in the world.

He just has not made the transition, he has become the best in the world. It's not surprising considering he was tossing people around in his wrestling matches in high school. His DVD showed that, and that was when he was a skinny teenager!

Haven't seen this yet, but definitely checking out ESPN's next running- Lesnar is now the man at heavyweight MMA-wide and his next defence against Cain Velasquez has money written all over it - At this point whilst the light-heavyweight division sorts itself out, Lesnar and GSP are Zuffa's go to guys for UFC shows.

I watched and yeah, I'd agree it was one of the best cards in a long time. Lesnar had 2 clouds hanging over him going into that fight and he made both of them disperse. They said he was unproven when faced with another heavy hitter, and there were doubts about his overall health. Well he took the worst Carwin could inflict on him (and Carwin, let's be clear about this, has monster ground and pound). And as for Leben, can't say enough good things about him either, he probably had a decision in the bag but the judging in MMA is so eccentric, you never can be sure - so he goes ahead and finishes the job.

Really, I thought Akiyama would have had the decision because of his take downs. You are right about the judges.
