Wouldn't simply proclaiming that you restored order without actually doing so be more Norton-esque? Also, now I need a What Would Emperor Norton Do? t-shirt. @whore of Spamylon: Honestly, I think the world needs more politicians using exactly that slogan.

One could run on a platform that proclaims the majority of people are fucking morons, and possibly win "by a majority" because the people who vote for them will assume that they are not talking about them when they make said proclamation. Slogan: Vote for me, unless you are a fucking moron.

WoS, I don't think it's a majority of people that are morons. I think the majority of the loudest people are. I think most people don't care too much on most issues.
