You know what bothers me? They never do say what she disagrees with them about.
I mean, sure, the story of "family who doesn't seem bothered that their daughter is going to Hell" is infuriating and all. Though I have to wonder how much of that is real and how much is the WBC telling them what they are allowed to feel. Ultimately, though, I think it's a somewhat annoying omission.

Thanks. Now if anyone ever wonders why I left the faith I can just show them that video.

Longer and more detailed testimony from the Phelps kids who left is available hereYou're unlikely to like Fred any better by the end.

I'm disgusted, but not surprised.
You know what always gets me with stories like this? No matter how badly the kid is treated, they almost invariably say, "BUT I LOVE MY FAMILY." You SHOULDN'T. They've done nothing to earn it. They might ave sprogged you but they've treated you like shit and frankly it would be far healthier if you hated them. Because if you maintain you 'love' them, then you're just going to want their approval. And you shouldn't want approval from those sick fucks.

They never say that she started pointing out problems in the church's doctrine; they say she was voted out for pointing out members' hypocrisies. Granted, they never expand on what those hypocrisies are, but this seems a pretty clear case of the in-crowd circling wagons.

She may not know it yet, but being kicked out of that church is probably the best thing that's ever happened to her.

What did they say to her? We can't have someone acting like Jesus tells you to, Get out!?

If I ever meet Fred Phelps, I will kick him directly in the nuts.
(Not that I would really do that and give him a lawsuit opportunity, it's just very cathartic to think about.)

So you think I'm going to hell even though the worse that I've done was giving a teacher a broken thumb (don't ask).
I'm not afraid of hellfire.
It just fuels my rage and nothing, no fallen angel or damned soul will stop me from teaching everyone else "who is the boss" in Hell.
Hellfire is not the incinerator. It is just the tempering kiln.
