My advice is to eat red meats sparingly, and to go for poultry and fish as your meat-source. Your colon will appreciate it, too.

As others have said, don't go vegan, and I would certainly never go for a raw food vegan diet. It is hard to get enough calories on such a diet. You'll lose a lot of muscle, and muscle tissue is active, it burns calories. I'd try to clean up my overall diet if I were you. Avoid refined starches and sugars, make sure you get your proteins, fibers and good fatty acids. Try to get most of your carbohydrates from fruit and especially vegetables. Exercise. I didn't have much input yesterday but let me weigh in on this part.
I'm bigger'n you. I NEED to exercise but I rarely do. My biggest problem with eating is snack chips and soda. Soda, or POP as I call it, is my worst problem. Every time I quit drinking sugared pop or other beverages (don't discount nearly everything (but water) including but not limited to juices and sports drinks) I noticed a diff in my weight within a week. And that was my only change, NOT drinking two, three or more cans or bottles of pop. It seems like such a little thing but it adds up like spare change only it becomes a spare TIRE!
Anyway, I ain't got much to offer but that is something I've had experience with.
Aside from that it seems that with your age and the severity of the diet, that talking to a competent doc is the LEAST you can do. And an actual office visit too, not some internet thing or a phone call. You health is very important and I don't know enough about diet and especially dieting at your age so that is what I would do.

I must agree with the many others who have previously posted. Going vegan is a very drastic measure to take for this, and you really do not look too chubby to begin with. Simply cutting back on some of the more unhealthy things in your diet makes a big difference. For example, I stopped eating ice cream and other snacks like chips or cookies on a daily basis and went from around 134 pounds to my current 121 pounds. It's not too difficult once you grow accustomed to it. The hardest part is learning to control cravings, but it becomes quite easy with some time. Something that also really helps me is that I don't like any soda, juices, or similar drinks. Because of this, I only drink milk and water. What you drink can have a fair impact as well.

In all sincerity.
Diets don't work in losing weight. Plain and Simple.
You are much better off just eating regularly and above all, *drum roll* do exercise. 3 times a week, one hour each time is just enough.
As someone mentioned earlier, you will not only lose weight, but you will actually be and feel healthier than by merely dieting. It's a great stress reliever on top of it, and if you are studying, studying after exercised is proven to give you alot more focus.
If you can't do gyms, dumb bells or pools (I feel ya), just try and find a sport you like, sign up to some team and kablamo!

Dammit, I assumed my tape measure was metric which was stupid because I live in America. I am 162 cm. Also, I know BMI is a terrible calculation for health, I was just listing the stats I had available. I really doubt I am going to do this for longer than a week or two, as I said in my original post, I am mostly doing it as a detox, the weight loss will just be a plus.
So, here is my plan. I am easing into the diet and will eat less animal products and processed food each day (I just had a glass of delicious cow juice.) Then I will go for a week without any of those items completely and will eat pumpkin or sunflower seeds for protein. My ultimate goal in the long term is that doing this will make me think smarter about my eating habits and that when I want a snack I'll go for an apple instead of the doritios.

Another quick tip, detox doesn't work. It's a scam. You're much better off simply reducing the amount of greasy food you eat in general than making a drastic change in your diet for a short sprint.

Another thing to think about is the amount of corn there is in processed food.
and what grain is used to fatten animals?
I've never understood Vegans who eat junkfood like it's going out of style.

I'm pushing it. Thing is, I'm so stocky (I'm roughly 45% German) that few people can actually tell how much I weigh; they always guess 30 - 40 pounds lower than my present weight. It also helps that I was forever getting banged up as a kid (I'd succeeded in splitting my head open and needing stitches by the time I was 6, and my lower jaw is permanently deformed owing to another accident that same year) that when my body began to heal up and grow I ended up with thick, dense, hard bones in most of my body; not only does this provide me with a level of natural body armor, it also makes me look huge. I've actually had folks recommend that I pursue security as a career because my very size is often enough to scare the hell out of people. Only reason I never did is because I can't shoot straight: my dominant eye and dominant hand are on different sides of my body (an inherited condition) and so it's difficult for me to compensate; I inevitably aim too high owing to my perspective being off.

332, if he's indeed 2x166, which would make his height about 7 1/2 feet tall for a BMI of 28.5. I'm guessing Sky isn't actually 7 1/2 feet tall, but just misunderstands what BMI is and how it's calculated. I'm 6 even; I should be about 6'3 - 6'5, but thanks to all the books I had to lug around in high school my spine has partially compacted in on itself and I've never had time to go see a chiropractor.* The BMI came from an electronic device that the coach at my last PE class made us use. No matter how many times I checked or how much weight I lost over the course, it always ranged from 28 - 32 whenever I checked it. *Which is a scary thought in the sense that I'm so tall I can barely fit in a normal vehicle as it is; I have a mere .25 inches of clearance between the top of my head and the roof of both my car and my dad's truck if I sit up straight.
