No surprise, really, as it is generally well known that a lack of money can make you miserable.

Personally I think I'd be much happier with more than NZ$75000.

Eh, money all by itself can't make you happy. But it can be exchanged for the goods and services that make people happy.

Personally I think I'd be much happier with more than NZ$75000. It's US$75,000, NZ$103,000. This doesn't seem very surprising, really. Though I do want to know how they measure "emotional wellbeing" vs "overall sense of wellbeing."

I just assumed it was NZ$ because the article is Kiwi.

Basically, if you're not making enough money that you're struggling to get by, it will make you unhappy. When you've ceased struggling to get by, more money doesn't make you happier.

You know how Scrooge McDuck had that money pool in DuckTales?
I've always thought it would be amazing to have enough money that I could go swimming in it. If I could do that once in my life, with my own money, I'd be able to die a happy Lazy.

I would've paid serious money to have been within viewing distance of the recording booth when Tara Strong did that.

I WILL NOW DERAIL THIS TOPIC.
Ideally and realistically, if you had 1 billion dollars, what would you do with it?
Ideally, I'd store it away to grow, taking out what I need for needs and some wants. I'd also use it to begin my indie game company.
Realistically, I'd still store it away, but dip into it a lot to get nice food, a 360, a PS3, a new next-gen console, and so forth. I wouldn't buy a mansion, too much space. I'd definitely get a green car, though, and probably donate some money to green organizations. After spending about half of it, I'd probably store it and, when I die, have it go to either Rusty, or children if I have any, or probably allocated to X Charity.

What would I do with a billion?
Hmmm. Well, me and my mates and family would never again work at a job because we had to. I would finance a few businesses that a few mates of mine would like to start. I would open up a comics. games, & coffee shop with my one mate. Travel a lot. Write. Donate a bunch. Build a new gym for my school, as well as load it up with tech upgrades. Establish some scholarship funds.

Seriously though, if I had $1B I would build my dream house, buy a sailboat and learn how to sail, travel around the world, help my friend out with his studio, buy all the instruments I want, and donate a lot to animal and music charities and Planned Parenthood. And probably help my mom pay off the farm.
