Luckily, he's Not A True Christian, since no Christian could do anything so vile. The guy had 56 Rembrandt prints and a number of classic cars, so let's be really generous and call his windfall a mere half a million dollars. At one day per dollar, he'll be out of prison in... the year 3379. Seems fair to me.
And what is it with Colorado lately? This is the second story in just a few days. STOP MAKING MY STATE LOOK BAD, YOU MOUTH-BREATHERS.

Yeah, no freakin' kidding. They're outright thieves--granted they don't break right into a house and take their jewellery boxes when nobody's home, or steal cars, or whatever, but they're still just teh same. Ugh. And he got away with it for fifteen years!
A day per stolen dollar sounds about right. Or even a day per $100 at the amounts of money these people are stealing.
(Total aside: when I was little I thought that when someone was sentenced to X-years in prison, they had to STAY THERE for that many years. If they died, the prison just left the body there until his 230 years or whatever were over.)

Well as long as he tithed, that's the important thing. Well according to the church anyway.

Fuck me running. If a religious personage tells me something, I tend to be skeptical immediately!
But then, I'm well-educated.
