www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2010/oct/27/us-midterm-elections-uncle-sam-video Honestly. I'm glad I wasn't a 'student of history' at this guys school... Sure there were the standard memes the tea parties been infected with, but "Government is always oppression". Huh? "Government created all their problems?" "They may think that Government is good, but they don't know their history... They haven't studied enough to realise that Government is always oppression." And dumbass - Jefferson wasn't against the central bank per se, he was against paper money and the inflationary effects this might have if not managed correctly. Excess credit without regulation. Are you against paper money? Jefferson was for increasing regulation of banks. Are you? But yeah, aint it great: "If we look back thousands of years, freedom is not an old idea, freedom is a new idea. Freedom is something that's only just come in the last few hundred years" (obviously forgotten his bible studies) (Moses, who's Moses?) "We've had big government throughout history ... under the King of England ..." (except in the last 200 years? ) Dude - you're the dumbass of the day! new word for you. Parliment... When you get your head round that, we'll do 1215, habeus corpus and the magna carta.

Yeah, but that company was created by government and therefore wasn't a real company and was government because government is evil!!! Nice try, but it was a private organisation that simply had an over-privileged, indeed quite possibly corrupt, association with the government of the time, and generally operated to the overwhelming detriment of people across the world. Luckily, there are no modern parallels in this at all. Absolutely none. No hovering over the link, please.
