tv.gawker.com/5689869/the-five-most-ridiculous-moments-from-the-sarah-palins-alaska-premiereClick link for video clips and the full article. So, the show is as ridiculous as we all expected it to be. Every single segment ends up being a metaphor for her political stances, made blatantly obvious by how phony everything looks. The rafting trip with the bears, for instance, looks like two different scenes pasted together, and the dialogue in the fence scene sounds very scripted. It just screams Republican propaganda. Using a reality show to aid a political campaign would be a somewhat clever move if the Republicans understood what the word "subtle" means. In any case, this kind of propaganda pisses me off, regardless of whether or not it's well done. Edit: The theme really is god awful. This quote, from someone who commented on the article, pretty much sums it up:

Actually, a reality TV show to bolster Republican standing would only suffer if they used subtlety. The entire Republican platform basically consists of pointing at something and shouting incoherently, possibly while brandishing a cross or working the word "deregulation" into the meaningless rant.

I don't know, maybe I'm giving people too much credit, but I'd like to think that most of the swing vote has the two brain cells needed to recognize what a load of crap this is.

I like how she claimed she's trying to be the average American...yeah, if the Average American had millions to spend on such.
I honestly wish people wouldn't have tuned in. I imagine most did for the same reason people do NASCAR races, to see the crashes. But with how Palin works, she thinks she can mouth off more if more people pay attention
