I've heard a lot of bullshit conspiracies in my life, from "Bush did 9/11!" to "Everyone is covering up Obama's birth certificate!" But this...this has to take the cake. This article I found on Renew America might be the most desperate, logic-defying, poorly written piece of shit I've ever laid eyes on since the last time I read a transcript of the Glenn Beck program. If there were an award for making mountains out of molehills this would be a strong contender: www.renewamerica.com/columns/zieve/101122The title starts out stupid enough: "Are Obama's perversions becoming even more pronounced?" It then proceeds to, somehow, link President Obama with George Soros (portrayed as some sort of James Bond villain in this article) and then lists the accomplishments of, um, "The Obama." You know the bill that would help the FDA regulate the food industry by allowing it to make more frequent inspections? That's a Marxist, Orwellian policy to control our food supply. TSA patdowns (as much as I oppose them)? Just prep work for when the "sheeple" are marched into "newly-planned gas chambers." Plans to hasten the effects of climate change? Using the "proven hoax" (and lie) of global warming to force humans to "go back to tribal fires." ObamaCare? Well, the author says it's a plan to control our minds and bodies, which is the most sane thing she suggests. I just don't know how this can be topped. I mean, holy shit, this passes for rational thought to Teabaggers. I know I shouldn't be stunned but...holy fuck...

Honky, the worst one I've heard so far is, (and why do I see AA nodding along to it in the background?) That MI6 orchestrated the assassination of JFK. It was apparently done as revenge for the Revolution. There was no evidence to support what the poster claimed, just three pages of bigoted ranting about the UK.

The Zionist Conspiracy theories that the Aryan Nations et al., spout make more sense than this dribble.

Q: How do you know that the CIA weren't involved in the assasination of JFK? A: Well he's dead, isn't he? Mildly unfair joke.

You see it's all a plot of mine that I'll have in the future and will then pave the way for the secret underground cult of sentient rock-men who will then, you guessed it, take over the world Ironbite-

Maybe I've been reading the mainpage too long, but there's nothing in that article I haven't heard a dozen times before.

I have parents in the states, and considering it's an 8 hour drive from Ottawa & Area to York Pennsylvania, we usually do it at night. Around the late hours, the conspiracy shows come on some American stations. So my dad is driving, and i'm a night owl, so we listen to this radio station that delves into conspiracies.
At first, they seemed plausible, saying that Nasa was hiring ex-nazis who were doing research on extra-dimensional travel. Now, this isn't hard to believe: These are people of expertise, it's not beyond the US to be morally lax, the Nazis were doing research into anything that gave them an edge, etc. So for a while, i was nodding my head saying "It's a wee bit crazy, but at least it's plausible."
Then the guy says "And do you know WHY NASA wants to go to mars? Because everyone in NASA is a Nazi Martian! And they all want to go back to MARS!"
I told my dad to shut it off. But i did get a good laugh out of it.

I see that and raise it: In the 1970's ITN (the main terrestrial channel in the UK after the BBC) ran a spoof investigation (hint that it was a spoof: It was shown on April 1) that claimed Martians were coming to earth to kidnap human physicists and taking them back to Mars. Or to put it another way, a race thad mastered interplanetary travel were coming to kidnap people from a race that had only recently mastered nuclear fusion. Amazingly, there are still people who believe it's true.

My JFK theory is that JFK himself arranged it as an elaborate suicide.

I present you with one proof that people are capable of believing the most ridiculous shit without needing indoctrination from childhood: War of the Worlds' original broadcast.
