Hooray for beer! \o/
Some of my favourites from the top of my head are:
Fullers London Pride Fullers ESB Spitfire Innis & Gunn Barbär/Barbaer/Barbâr/whatever
I really like the draught version of Newcastle Brown Ale, but I'm not a huge fan of the bottled stuff. I don't know why it's like this... But my all-time favourite beer is unfortunately one from a micro-brewery, and you can only get it in one bar in one city that I unfortunately no longer live in. Sucks, but what are you gonna do...

Personally, I prefer rum. But that may be because I've only ever drank beer from a keg at the sort of parties that get held in the woods behind the dorms at nighttime.

Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA is my favorite beer, an excellent hoppy American IPA. Pretty much everything made by Brooklyn Brewing Company is good, but their Dark Chocolate Stout is outstanding. Victory's Prima Pils and Hop Devil also see heavy rotation in my fridge. Troegs DreamWeaver Wheat is very tasty. I don't get much in the way of imports anymore, the microbrewery scene is so large here, and for the most part, seems to kick out good beer. But I've always had a soft spot for Pilsner Urquell, Duvel, Smithwicks-if I can find it on tap, and German weiss beers.
Lazy, was it Magic Hat #9 you had?
Tgr, if you like bitter/hoppy beers you have to try Dogfish Head 90 Min, Victory's Hop Devil, and Sierra Nevada's Torpedo.

In the Tote in Collingwood, one of my favourite Melbourne pubs some wag placed a sign out the front which read "Don't drink Drive, it's a laundry liquid!"

Before this holiday season I'd only ever had Bud Light and that tastes like ass, so I was hesitant to try any more beer. I tried Magic Hat this holiday. I now know not all beer tastes disgusting. Yes, Magic Hat is another good brand. Also, I forgot that there's one family friend who drinks *shudders* PBR.

The Malicious Bloke is correct. Innis And Gunn is really something special. Top ten, certainly.
Other than that, though, in something approaching an order of preference:
O'Hara's Stout, which, in fairness, I haven't seen in donkey's years, but still. Whitewater Belfast Black Whitewater Clotworthy Dobbin Guinness Special Export McCardle's Red Ale Dow Bridge Praetorian Porter Any properly draughted German Dunkel above cooking grade. Kostritzer Schwarzbier Molly's Yard Chocolate Stout. Hilden Halt. Hilden Headless Dog Brew Dog Punk IPA & Zeitgeist Guinness Extra Stout, bottles.
Essentially, these days, if it's brown and strongly flavoured in a bottle, I'll give it a lash. Can't quite get onto Bitter and Mild though. There's just not enough taste in them for a man reared on rougher brews.

Also, I forgot that there's one family friend who drinks *shudders* PBR. Could be worse. I was visiting my brother at New Year. Nothing in the house but Tennents. The only beer more metallic than the tin it comes in.

Over the holidays, a cousin made the horrible mistake of giving me some weissenbier (Erdinger, I think). This was a mistake because I am a lightweight and that shit is delicious. I was tipsy in about 5 minutes, I shit you not. My immediate family drinks light beers: Coors Lite, Miller Lite and Dos Equis. My extended family likes Heinekens (gag) so until I discovered that weissenbier my experiences were not all that great. Except for Salty Dog Blueberry Ale. They need to stop making alcohol that tastes so good, or I'm going to get myself in trouble one of these days.

Erdinger Hefeweiss is pretty decent alright, as yellow-beer goes.

Erdinger Hefeweiss is pretty decent alright, as yellow-beer goes. I tried both regular and dark. I'm not sure which I liked more. And I usually hate dark beers!

Oh yes. Beer. I fucking love beer.
My favorites:
Guinness Draught Stone Arrogant Bastard IPAs. Any of them, but the Brooklyn Brewery one is fucking excellent. On that note, most of Brooklyn brewery's stuff. I've gone to their brewery, they serve beer on tap and you can order takeout. Amazing. Spaten Optimator. Doppelbock for the win. Sam Adams everything except Cherry Wheat. Saranac everything. Toured their brewery too. Ommegang Belgian White. Maudite.
There's a few more, but those are my favorites.

I don't care for the apricot after taste of that. But to each their own.
