I'm a fairly decent writer, and I'm also pretty fast. I never start any of my papers earlier than the day before they're due, and I've never gotten anything below a B. Mostly, I get As.

Well, I'm an artist in almost every sense of the word, though I do a lot more/better in some fields than others. Music and writing are my primary fields, but I draw (primarily doodle), periodically paint, do photography...Hell, among the other things I do, I'd love to direct. I don't think I'd be very good at it, but I'd still love to at least try it.
What I do, I tend to do with little effort or planning. I never studied in school, and only got bad grades when I also blew off the work (Which I sometimes did simply because I was a really bitchy teen). contrary to Auqualung, I'm a terrible sightreader, but can learn songs by ear fairly easily. I rarely practiced trombone. I "practice" more with guitar, but only because I like playing.
Oh, and I'm good with the human body. Massage and the like.

I mean I can memorize songs and shit but it takes me a while. Right now I'm working on memorizing the blues scales. I envy people who know a lot of languages. I had two years of German in high school, and thanks to studying music I know a handful of random words in Italian and French and stuff. :/

Does playing the ocarina (badly) count? (A real one, not the iPhone app)
As everyone probably knows, I'm an artist. I draw. I'm also very good with Photoshop and Illustrator.
What I don't think anyone here knows is that I studied karate for several years and was pretty good at it (I'm hopelessly out of practice now). Now I'm studying rapier fencing (assuming I can ever drag my lazy ass back to practice).
(Also, I'm very talented at using a lot of parenthesis in my writing)

Composition's why I took up the guitar. The only problem is I'm still not as good wwith the guitar as I'd like to be, so getting it to do what I want is still an issue. It also means playing by ear takes a lot of noodling. Well, compared to trombone, where I know it inside and out. Or knew. I suppose I could get my mojo back if I tried, but I haven't played in a couple of years now. Blues are awesome, I must say. I think I need to get my electric guitar adjusted though, because I have trouble getting tone from hammer-ons and pull-offs. Doesn't affect you as a flutist, but it's a pain in my...well, mostly my fingers, but you know how the saying goes.

I also studied instrument repair for a while. If the keys/pads don't close right it can be a real pain in the ass to fix and I think flutes are the worst. Whereas with brass you just have to make sure the valves work, and you can just take a hammer to them to get them unstuck. ;D

I have a good memory, and I'm a decent actor and singer. However, I would trade all of this to be a good artist or animator.

True, but I never saw a trombone that was stuck THAT bad. The worst I ever saw was one that came in after some stupid kid stuck the slide part through the gap in a door (the side with the hinges) and another kid shut accidentally shut the door on it. (Reason #24987455387 why I hate kids. ~_^) I think they just ended up ordering a new slide for that one.

My singing is so horrible, it's almost a talent. Does that count?
Also, I can remember the name of everyone I spend more than five minutes with. I often pretend to forget names, so I don't seem creepy.

I'm the same way. I remember names, personal details, etc. of almost everyone I meet and even a lot of people I stumble upon on Facebook. As for my talents, I'm a musician. I play mostly guitar and bass, but I've also dabbled in drums, played some piano, sucked at singing, and more. My singing is horrible; I can stay on key if I try hard enough but I sound like complete shit. The only way for me to sound somewhat decent when I sing is to suck a few fags immediately beforehand, but doing that too much is obviously not very healthy so I just focus on instruments.

Really the only thing that I have that could be considered a real talent is that I have an excellent memory, especially remembering facts. Just don't expect me to remember your name, I suck at that though, and remembering when my bills are due.
Goofy odd "talents" I have a couple of. I used to be able to bend left thumb back to my arm, it still goes most of the way back now. I can also stick my tounge out and touch my nose with it.

I can fix damn near anything. And I have no formal training. Simply a very analytical mind. Can you fix my car?? No promises. I've never really poked around with cars beyond fixing a cigarette lighter.
