Because you know some people are going to use the disaster to justify some xenophobic/religious/conspiracy theory. Like my colleague who honestly believes in the 2012/Nostradamus bullshit string (he's also a 250-pound Indian fellow, so I'm not gonna argue with him on this).

I'm particularly angry because I have family in Japan and seeing people laughing about it and making jokes about the quake and tsunami? Sickening.
Anyways, RR also has some... lovely... things to say about it.

People did the same during the floods in Queensland. On the Facebook group for news about it, they were posting "ads" for submarine cars. Also, RR has a thread about the quake. I haven't read it yet, but I'm sure it's the usual "birth pangs" and "has Japan turned on Israel?" crap. Edit: Yep, called it: rr-bb.com/showthread.php?157680-Japan-8.9-Earthquake-and-Pacific-Tsunami

Yeah, that's the thread. Lots of stuff about 'if only they had repented', etc.,

Bleh. I only scanned the first couple pages, most of which were news and prayer posts. I can only imagine what's been posted later on in the thread.

I'm not even going to bother checking to see what WBC has to say about it.
Some RR crap:
^^ What.
^^ So, Obama is apparently supposed to psychically know hat an earthquake is going to hit, and schedule press conferences around them? Seriously, is there anything these people won't whine about when it comes to him?

Pear Harbor was a horrible tragedy. But it was over sixty years ago. Don't you think it's time to stop bitching about it?

And also the fact that most of the people affected by the quake weren't born until decades after Pearl Harbor...

I just realized why conservatives like South Park so much: it's because they see themselves in Cartman
