Please tell me I'm not the only one here currently obsessed with KoL. I've ascended on one of my accounts and became a Pastamancer, but I've discovered my hatred of Magic-based classes is universal. One of my secondary characters is a Disco Bandit, though. I like that class. ...so...um...yeah.

I played it years ago. Hard cored through all the classes to perm the useful skills then did a pile of runs as a seal clubber to get almost all the skills for that class, the gnomish skills, the text adventure skill, and the spookyraven skill.
I still have the account, I just found other distractions. It's changed enough since I played it that I'd probably have a lot fun if I went back to it.

I played it several years ago. I was a Pastamancer, but the endless grinding and limited turns a day got old fast. I'd have to kill several days using all my turns to grind before I could anything plot related.

Hard coring was tempting, but there's no way I could do it. I need my booze, food and unlimited access to my invo. I have no patience or planning skills (being a Ronin SUCKS). SimSim: Yeah, the limited turns is annoying. >_> My favorite secondary, though, is in a guild that has objects that give more turns per day, and I deck the character out with a time-increasing outfit before the rollover each night, and I'm working on building a pagoda...and of course, it's a Disco Bandit, so Advanced Cocktailcrafting is WIIIIIN. Again, though, for me, the major piss-off point is how annoying Moxie and Mysticality classes are at lower levels compared to the Muscle classes. Seal Clubbers and Turtle Tamers are just...better. Period.

Yeah, the magic classes get their asses handed to them pretty easily. I'm actually tempted to start playing again.

I've tried to play Kingdom of Loathing but can never get into it past the first day.
Doesn't help that I really don't know the difference between Pastamancers and Saucerers. And I am definitely more inclined for the mysticality classes.

I just checked my old character sheet. 32 ascensions.

Well done. My main character has three, my original character still hasn't ascended once yet.

I got into it for a little bit, but it just didn't hold my interest.
