lifeandlibertyministries.com/archives/000151.php This is a story of a "true Biblical betrothal," and it's one of the most disturbing things I've ever read, especially when I compare it to the way my dad would have acted if some creeper that much older than me had decided to go tell him, "Hey, I'm really attracted to Lazy even though she's so much younger than me and want to marry her." But this dad was just, "Oh yeah, maybe it's from the Lord, and by the way, I'm going to fuck with both of your heads for years until I finally decide, OK, you can marry my daughter." WTF is this shit? And why is it happening as recently as 1988?

I think I've read that first one before...I'm getting the feeling that it was referred to in one of "No Greater Joy"'s magazines, but damned if I can remember which one.
"You say God wants you to marry my daughter? Well, okay, sure...BUT NO KISSING!"
Oh, and the whole idea of Stan giving Matthew his daughter for Christmas. WTF.

I... really hope that's a Poe.
They say there was a 'significant age difference' between them but doesn't say how old either of them were. Does anyone else wonder if the guy wasn't in his thirties and the daughter was only just eighteen or so?

Am I the only one who thinks "Be ready for me when I come!" is fraught with innuendo?

To be fair, cock and pussy both seem to be addictive.

Am I the only one who thinks "Be ready for me when I come!" is fraught with innuendo? You know, I was so creeped out when I read that, that didn't even register with me. And now it did. It sounds like some terribly translated dialog from a doujinshi.

Unfortunately, that sick story is not a Poe. Maranatha and Mathew Chapman were 15 and 27 years old respectively when they married. Here are a pair of detailed posts ( PART I, PART II), and responses, on their "love" story,

Does anyone else wonder if the guy wasn't in his thirties and the daughter was only just eighteen or so? Yeah I wondered about the age difference particularly where it said she should be prepared to be widowed with many years left to live? I reckon she was 16 or 17 at the time of the wedding he was 35+ Edit on seeing Nutcase - 15 and 27 when they married. The fucking creepy thing about that is the whole betrothal took by the sounds of things well over one year. So he first started having trouble dealing with his attraction when she was 12 or 13 or so!

So he first started having trouble dealing with his attraction when she was 12 or 13 or so! Pretty much. Yeah. What really complicates this story, however, is the undertone in Lindvall's initial post that suggests Matthew was a really immature 24 or 25-year- old when he first encountered Maranatha. Her father, Stan, started out as Matthew's (religious) counselor.
