the same treatment we give to countries like Mexico, China, and Taiwan. They outsourced their labor to a plant in Virgina, paying workers 8 bucks an hour, and only allowing a couple weeks total off a year. The same workers in Sweden? 19 bucks a year with a required 5 weeks off a year. Funny how we're notorious for doing it to others, but now the tables are turned on us. We are farther behind than we realize! www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2011_04/028895.php

Um, a couple of weeks off a year is actually pretty nice for the American workforce. Many just get a week a year.

Ahem...I KNEW IT LETTIN THEM FURRNERS IN OUR COUNTRY TURNED US INTO MEXICO! Am I...Am I brown now? I don't know. I keep waiting for my skin to spontaneously darken, but it hasn't so far. Also, yeah, two weeks off a year? DAMN. My roommate gets maybe 12-24 hours off a year.

America really does suck. What's worse is that when private sector employees find out that public sector employees (I.E. government employees) get 13 paid vacation days a year and 10 paid holidays a year, rather than demanding equal treatment from their employer, they'll demand the government employee take a vacation and/or pay cut.

Though nto as nice as what Swedish workers get. OF course, how long before Ikea moves downt he food chain and moves the factory to saipan or cambodia?

Yes how often we forget that the 40 hour work week and minimum wage and OSHA and al the rest were given to us by our kind overlords out of the goodness of their non-existent hearts. It's not as if anyone had to fight for these things.
