More sane churches need to take this stance. At some point, it'll become too obvious for judges to ignore that a same sex marriage ban is choosing one religion over another for no logical reason, which is unconstitutional under the first amendment.

Not true Christians in ...3 ...2 ...1 Ya know, I've read the bible cover to cover more than once. And from what I've gleaned, these guys are being true christians. Good for them. Way to have some principles.

Yeah, but that's not going to stop the fundies from screaming that they're not.

Dare we share with Rapture Ready, and let the fireworks fly?

Dare we share with Rapture Ready, and let the fireworks fly? Do it, I want to see fireworks. But I think they banned me.

Actually, I think it'll be more like, "Homosexuals are ruining marriage for everyone!" kind of shreak. Yeah, I could see how fundies would point to this as "proof" that gay marriage really will destroy traditional marriage. Well, strictly speaking, it's the absence of gay marriage that's ruining marriage for (a minuscule number of) heterosexuals.

If every church was like this, I would have no problem with organized religion. I think it was a brave move to take this stand in Kentucky, and I applaud them for it.

This is fantastic news. Kentucky isn't exactly even the most fertile ground for liberal opinion most of the time is it? Maybe other churches will get the idea and say it's OK to be moderate...

If every church were like this, gay marriage would be legal and no church would do this. It's... paradoxical. Good thing I'm not a robot! ...Or am I? If every church was like this, I would have no problem with organized religion. I think it was a brave move to take this stand in Kentucky, and I applaud them for it. QTF. Cutie Fun!
