Those who have high blood pressure or expecting should not watch this video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX0RzCIe-14Apparently the Constitution does not apply during the months of December or April.

I saw something like that on the ticker on my local tv station. It said "Prairie farmers skip Easter Services to deal with flooding."
Well no fucking shit. No farmer in their right mind would leave their fields unattended during flood season for hours for four straight days to go to church.
War on Easter my ass. More like war on stupid bullshit.

So what exactly was so "out of line" about anything Rivky Gervais said? I mean, I can understand why Christian might be peeved (not that it's really justified), but why focus on this particular statement? Simply because it was said shortly before Easter? And even Lady Gaga's song didn't sound particularly anti-Christian. Don't these people have better things to complain about? You know what....don't answer that.

Tolerant? Quiet? HA! HAHAHA! Yeah, I couldn't watch past that point. Yeah....I had to shut it off at that point, too. Yes, there are quiet, tolerant, understanding Christians (a lot of them, actually), but they sure as hell are not the ones bitching about this foolishness on Fox News. Gervais may be a bit of an ass, but he didn't say anything inaccurate. The primary motivation for Christians to believe is the promise of eternal life through the sacrifice of Christ. If it wasn't for that, why would you be a Christian? What's the upside? Ask any Christian "Why do you believe?" and they will almost certainly quote John 3:16 at you....which essentially says the exact same thing Gervais said: believe so that you will have eternal life. Rather than bitching about it...perhaps Hannity should have just said, "You're right, Gervais. So what?" As for the Gaga song, ignoring the artistic merits (of which there are very few; the song is the kind of utterly forgettable bass-driven club crap we've all heard a billion times before), one interpretation of the song could be a Christian struggling to free themselves of sin. Of course, that's just pure conjecture since the real interpretation of the song would be "I Really Really Really Wish I Was Madonna."

Dear Christians,
Quit being a bunch of over persecuted assholes and give the Pagans their holidays back.
Sincerely, One fed up with the "war on _____" bullshit

Synopsis: Lady Gaga has a song with references to Jesus and Judas and includes the line "I'm in love with Judas". Ricky Gervais writes an article that implies that many Christians are so because it makes them feel automatically good and they believe it means they'll go to heaven. Two people argue about whether they are doing it because they are evil and Christians are the last acceptable target or if they're just trying to make money.

So, Lady Gaga writes a song with a clumsy metaphor and Gervais says something that everyone and their dog has been saying for the last thousand years (people often only join religions just to be smug, sanctimonious assholes), and says it in a fairly gentle way at that. This is the war on Christianity? Really, Hannity?
Cry me a fucking river.
